Dreams visions from GOD, how do you know that ?​

A related question is, how do we the faith community know if your dreams and visions are from God?

A related question is, how do we the faith community know if your dreams and visions are from God?

You will know its from God, He isn't false or fake. There is no power in fake, there is power in God. As I said, you will know it is God by His Holy Power and because the bible supports it. People fall for TV preachers all the time. Did you know that on the 700 club they asked for people to send in prayer requests, then they read them and faked telling someone that their back is healed, knowing a hurt back is common and will get better or family ties would improve and figured they would anyways. It was just crafting a prayer request to show viewers their special fake power. You can see through fake using the Holy Spirit within you. Non-Christians are fooled all the time, you know horoscopes and fortune tellers.

One of the dearest, biblically-grounded, most faithful Christian ladies I know watches Joel Osteen and 700 Club and the like.

There's a reason why false prophets are welcomed and real prophets get stoned.

What did you think Abraham thought when God told him to sacrifice Isaac? Even though this went against every prior promise God had given him? What would have been your council to Abraham if he confided in you and ask your advice about this? Would you have said it was not the voice of God?

At the very time of the dream he walked away 'scratch free'
Your praying was AFTER the event, NOT before.
Prophetic from GOD would be :-
- 2am you dream the event where he would die
- then you wake
- then you pray
- then 4am he crashes and walks away,
Conc, not prophetic, glorifying maybe but not prophetic.
Allowed by GOD, the 'other' side saw the event then relayed it into your dream but no mention of scratch free.
GOD was glorified by you praying to Him :)
eg Prophetic dream :- eg a future random mass shooting detailing actual casualties or natural disaster.

The Apostles lost their gifts eg Paul was no longer able to heal.
List ANY CONFIRMED prophecy today where a believer predicted a natural disaster (not man-made).
List ANY CONFIRMED prophecy today where a believer predicted accurately the details of a mass shooting
List ANY CONFIRMED type of Acts 2:2-11 tongues event 'today'
List ANY CONFIRMED event where a believer today has raised a days old dead.

Let's look at the verse:

1 Co 13:9-10 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

This has nothing to do with the bible. It concerns prophecy. It means that when the Lord returns everything shall be known and there will be no more partial revelation:

1 Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

The Apostles lost their gifts eg Paul was no longer able to heal.

You are jumping to conclusions. Just because he didn't heal Trophimus doesn't mean he lost the gift of healing.

The scripture lays out the gifts very clearly:

1 Co 12:4-12 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Jesus's sheep know His voice. Its the Holy Spirit within you whom Christ Jesus speaks to you. John 16:13. I'm a seer and most dreams are for me, not for the public. The night visions I have that pertain to the future, I write it down and post it in the dreams and visions forum and someone will read it and interpret it. Some are affirmations of our salvation that Jesus wants His own to know. From 3 yrs ago many visions have come true. I do not know what some dreams mean until after the event happens, then I can recognize what the dream was about. These aren't ground shaking dreams by any means. Not like the prophets to Israel, but Jesus gives them to me and I post them in the dreams and visions forum. There over there if you want to read them.

I've seen Jesus and angels and wrestled with Satan ( I didn't see him, he got me from behind) once and I saw the destruction of wars before the Ukraine war, then I start seeing it again, then Israel was attacked. I didn't see the Iran thing right now. If you asked me something humbly and unselfish, I'll pray to God for an answer, but not over an online forum, it must be personal and you have to a Christian/ Child of God that God knows your name. It does matter to me if you believe me or not, I will not argue the point.

It takes courage to share like that.

I would recommend sticking to the written Word of God. Dreams and visions can be deceptive. To talk about them can be egotistic and can make others think they need to have dreams and visions.

All we need to know is in the Bible. That is our safest, most reliable source for spiritual information.

The Word of God is important for forming foundational beliefs. But not considering other things can lead to misunderstanding the status of Christianity now. There are truths now that did not exist during the biblical era.
As Christianity moved along in history it placed a moratoriums on polygamy and concubinage and ownership of females by their fathers and husbands. Christianity put a moratorium on abortion and then required a church wedding to be married in the 17th century. As it is now Christianity is moving to equal status of female in the church. If you hold to scripture only you are not in tune with modern Christianity. You will have a bad reputation if you sell your daughters as sex slaves now a days or live together without a wedding.

And then a lot can be reveled in dreams, visions and tongues. Now some of these are truths and some of these are lies. Scriptures tell us that these did happen in biblical times and the scriptures tell us that they will happen now. It is our responsibility to test them.

‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; Acts 2:17

As for me I have witnessed truths spoke in tongues, but I have never spoke in tongues myself. But I have had angelic events and I can tell you that they do not always occur the way you would think they would. And I have had prayers answered within minutes of praying.

So it is good to be cautious but open minded.

It is one thing not to know Christian history but not to know the scriptures, is another.
Concubinage is selling daughters as sex slave....How many willing concubines can you find in the scriptures
Find the scriptures that stopped polygamy and concubinage and stopped daughter sold as wives and concubines. While you are at it find the scripture that said a marriage ceremony was required to be married.
