About this:

This is when you take your wife to a gun shop and sign her up for lessons after her purchase of a handgun.

Depending on their ages, the children too.

That neighbor allegedly made terroristic threats. That's illegal. Not free speech.

I've lived in communities where police excuse their not doing anything about verbal threats or violence.
Then, after the violence occurs, they make excuses. Meanwhile, the one threatened earlier is now cooling on a slab in the morgue.

The police in this story sound like the same ones I've encountered.

Implying a pastor would make up a back story like that in order to beat the snot out of a neighbor for no real reason.

When I first read the news I read the interview where the pastor was saying he was protecting his church and family. In which I am not against a man protecting his household. Now in diving in to the fine details there is much more to the story. So I am not as sure. We will have to see how the story pans out. Hopefully the pastor has all his bases covered and his story straight as he may be in for some lawsuits.

Watch this.
If they have videos and have shown them to police the guy would be locked up. Terrorizing and Menacing are serious crimes in Louisiana that can earn you a $15,000 fine, 15 years in prison, or both. He lost all credibility with me when he started waling on the guy. Beating him up only gives him another reason to harm them. The only way he could eliminate the threat would be to kill him. Is that okay too?

What reason did he need years ago to begin levying terroristic threats against a pastors wife and babies?

If the guy makes good on his threat and attacks the wife so to rape and kill her and her children,as he said he would?
Absolutely!
That's not murder. That's righteous self defense.

A man who doesn't defend his home and family is worse than an unbeliever.

He didn't do a very good job of defending his family or providing for them. The only thing he did was get himself in legal hot water and give his enemies more incentive to harm him. How safe will his family be if he ends up doing time? Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit; outbursts of anger are from the flesh.

1 Timothy 5:8 says "provide" not "defend."

"But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

The context of the passage is talking about caring for your immediate family so the church won't be burdened with caring for them. It's impossible to read this verse with clear eyes and think it's a justification for battery.

I saw this video. Says nothing about God's grace and love for others. They were just words. The pastor allowed those words to drop into his soul, manifesting within him, a murderous spirit. Satan won and the whole world saw it. It's unacceptable behavior for any believer, let alone a pastor.

If you are a Christian, it is your duty to defuse the situation and pray for individual. I seems to me it was Pride that caused this in the pastor to act. He wasn't protecting his family or defending. When verbal threats come at me , I can walk away easy. Good fences make good neighbors.

Good message for war mongering Christians and "Christian Politicians".

So,in your family,if someone breaks in and begins beating you, your wife, and children, you're OK with that.

Because you don't believe the "word" provide encompasses providing them protection and security from evil doers.

In fact, you'll live those home invaders. And turn your other cheek,by your own choice or theirs,as they continue to assault all of you. And then rape your wife and daughters.

Because you think you have to live by the book.

I'm curious.

If the racist devil in the video who has harassed and threatened the pastor, his family, and members of the congregation for years goes through with his threats he's made for years, breaks into the rectory when the pastor is away on missionary work, beats the family, rapes the wife and then,as he threatened for years prior, kills them all, then what will you all say?

And why was he across the street parallel to where the pastor was working ng in the first place? If he wasn't there screaming terroristic threats per usual?

Perhaps the Lord allowed this to happen to test the pastor's faith and found that he had fallen short. It is clear from the video that I saw that the pastor said he had been hassling him for years. This should have been dealt with earlier instead of ignoring it. There should have been a prayer group praying for the man. They could have helped him in some way through covering his personal needs. There is so much that a church could do for a man like that.

Consider the disciples and even the Lord himself, who was taken to the cross that day; how many bystanders and others called out, "Crucify him" or "If you are the Son of God, send Elijah or someone to help you down"? But he said nothing. The Bible says we are to take up our cross and follow Him. It means to let ourselves die, crucify ourselves, and follow Jesus. The above situation, where a man enters another's house, had not happened. This man was just yelling out obscenities to the pastor. It was the pastor who became physical, and that changed the whole outcome.

We don't know that this was not done by those in the church.

Perhaps the pastor thought, since the authorities charged with prosecuting man's law did nothing about this threat for years, despite the pastor reporting the offender, that if he did to the terrorist what the domestic terrorist yet again threatened to do to the pastors wife and babies, beat them, the domestic terrorist would realize the sheep he'd been terrorizing for years actually had the ability to fight back.

All of you who judge this pastor have no idea what he and his congregation suffered from this man making terroristic threats for years,as reported.

You stand on your Bibles and insist others behave as you believe is righteous in the face of violent evil.

You insist, if someone, like the young man in the report, breaks into our home with the intention of beating our family, raping our wife and daughters, and ultimately act to slaughter the lot of us afterward, that you believe those under attack should take it!

And not fight back. Because you must please Jesus and agree to be destroyed by evil.
Because God,you think, would be disappointed if you didn't.

Some even try to lead others to believe God in the Old Testament isn't every bit of who he said he was.
When he led his faithful to war. Slaughtered the unborn, infants, children, women, men.
All in an effort to extol the virtues of pacifism in the face of evil?

Amos 3
6.Is a trumpet blown in a city,
and the people are not afraid?
Does disaster come to a city,
unless the Lord has done it?

Jesus was God the Father of the Old Testament. If we're Christ like as Christians, when Christ came to conquer evil,we aren't suppose to concede to the power of evil and let it overcome those who are Christ like. Not when Christ is a war God who stands against evil.

Do not resist an evil person?

You all preach what others should do. Succumb to violence without resistance.

But would you really let a man break into your house and rape your wife in front of you,and do nothing to stop him?

If so,guess what?
You're the evil person.

Proverbs 25:26
Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.
