Doctrine – Same teachings – Different generation
Family – Of the same genetics – Different children
Church – Same doctrine – Different feel

Noticing that we had a good generation all the years of Joshua and pure evil the next.

7 And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the Lord, that he did for Israel.
10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. – Judges 2

I would tell people to get a feel of the church, senior pastor, and membership before joining. Just because someone has the correct doctrine in their head does not guarantee good people.

Spiritual warfare... I am trying to get a grip on what has changed after Covid.

1. Church - Many people stopped going to church
2. Thinking – They try to come up with an intelligent explanation to justify why
3. Emotions – They get upset with you for disagreeing with them

My company hired a guy who takes great interest in his Bible. Hey! I like that book too! In talking over his viewpoints he said he rests on Saturday. So… Are you Adventist then? I have never heard of Adventist he replies. In talking things over with them I could tell we would probably end up disagreeing on a whole lot of things. This makes it tough as people develop so many unique views that it is hard to develop a fellowship or agreement with them.

As far as churches I have enjoyed...

1. Calvinistic - I really liked John MacArthur
2. Armenian - I also enjoyed the Freewill Baptist Church
3. GARBC Baptist - And the registered Baptist as well
4. Methodist - There is a congregation I have enjoyed that is an hours drive. They were threw out of the UMC and successfully made a new church.
5. Pentecostal Holiness - I also enjoyed the Pentecostal Holiness Church while we had a good evangelist for a pastor.
6. Southern Baptist
7. Independent Baptist

I think in these days the senior pastor and elders are more important than ever.

Judges 21:25
These are those days again.
Everyone, including 'church goers' just do what 'feels right'. Even you based on your recent post.

There is nothing about doctrine here..

22 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. - Galatians 5

If I have a mindset I want it to be a Spirit led mindset. I have met so many who share the same doctrine but really are two different people.

Of course.
Everyone is different.
What is your point?
I sometimes attend a Southern Baptist church. They seem like good people and share the Bible. At the bottom of their web site are these words...

Report an Instance of Abuse in a Southern Baptist Church or Entity. - SBC.net - Good News for the Whole World

Doctrine and mindsets can be a good thing. The most important thing is to see the Spirit of Christ formed on the inside.

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you. - Galatians 4:19

There have been many instances of Christian killing Christian over who they felt was right all along. Some them will go as far as declare Saint Peter first leader for power grabs. Getting angry over people not embracing a doctrinal point is an evidence of evil.

I think this is the idea of feelings being made into the spiritual. Both have a intangible aspect and can be confused I think.

I think the spiritual can be destinguished as in the 'fruits of the spirit'. Or the fruits of the flesh. I think the fruits of the spirit can be decerned. One thing I know they are different to the world. Even hated by the world.

So any church that is aligned with the world and the world loves them. Then I think this is a general rule. Also consistency through all generational changes.
