The thing is...and I haven't considered this until he pointed it out...there were both good AND bad invited to the wedding feast. How did that one guy even get there without a wedding garment?

That MY Friend was THE POINT of the parable . TO SHOW US that NONE outside of Christ has any hope or chance
of being IN , but rather WILL BE CAST into outer darkness .

People always ponder on this or upon that and of ten try so hard to find ways to make
the path to GOD just a lil more broader . NO SIR and no mams . THEY all pointed to the dire necessity
for to have FAITH IN CHRIST. And i suggest we DO the same . T here is no broad pat hs , THERE BE ONLY ONE WAY
to GOD . Now HIS NAME is JESUS CHRIST and i do suggest to us all that we take a good long look
at WHAT and WHO them apostels preached and pointed too . Again it was the absolute DIRE NEED
for to repent and beleive ON JESUS THE CHRIST and to observe ALL things HE did teach .
Lets not try and grab ahold of a broad false hope rope . Rather LET IT BE JESUS THE CHRIST
and LET IT BE ONLY JESUS THE CHRIST we preached to any and to all that has breath .
Cause another line WONT WORK . And while its true it might make this world feel saved , IT WONT SAVE .
JESUS preaching time for all else is vain and is contrary to GOD and HIS CHRIST .
And before we forget allow me to re introduce us
to a reminder from John who wrote more about love in his le tter than most .
HE who beleives NOT , yes BELEIVES NOT the testimony that GOD g ave of the SON ,
OH HE AINT COMING to GOD in a d iverse other way , NO SIR HE calls THE GOD , as in the ONLY GOD , A LIAR .
I dont see holiness or righteousness , goodness or truth , IN THAT . I see A LAKE OF FIRE for all who do so .

You're forgetting that Abraham having faith and having received the risen Christ in a figure (Isaac) became the father of those of all nations who have faith and receive Christ ..........he is not the father of those who don't.

And now allow me to bring the very words of THE CHRIST HIMSELF
to see whether they confirm what you wrote or deny what you wrote .
Long ago very devout jews once said to JESUS , WE have one Father it is GOD .
And JESUS would tell these UNBELIEVING devout jews

Aside of the simple math the verse implies on salvation there is another meaning, the measurement in punishment for the lost and rewards for the saved.

It amazes me that people will reject the very thing that can save them. In the world it is about knowing Jesus as a Saviour. But in the church it is about saving the soul and the knowledge of God's ways to that end. "My people perish for lack of knowledge." I could share a lot more about that but the bible warns about casting pearls to be ridiculed. There are a few here who fear the Lord, and are able to speak about the Lord in a non-selfish way. But the pretenders are stuck in their own carnal ways and have adapted the bible to what comforts the flesh.

I wish that all believers could respect the word and discern the body....but that's not what happens so often.

Tares. We are not to take it too literally. It is just a picture for the purpose of teaching a lesson. Whoever is not clothed in Christ doesn't really make it to the wedding feast. It is like the parable about the sheepfold, those who sneak in by another way.

Jesus used the term, how much more scriptural can you get? I always thought it referred to "paradise" where the righteous dead were preserved until Jesus liberated them. After the resurrection paradise was relocated to heaven. Once again just opinion

I don't see Jesus preaching Greek myths. I see it as a literal place where the evil will be confined until the final judgement

Read about the roots of the Abraham's Bosom on the Wikipedia, it's an invention of man, the Pharisees, it's nowhere in Scripture. The parable of the rich man is in a long series of Jesus preaching against the Pharisees, chapter after chapter.

v14 explicitly states the Pharisees were lovers of money, it's an introduction what has to come, them (the lovers of money) ending up in their own false teaching.

Also that those who died and are in torment can talk to Abraham does not sound Scriptural, but you will have to believe it if you think the parable is not a parable but a real story.

I prefer to believe what other passages tell me about heaven and hell.

And what ARE HIS commandments . That we BELEIVE on JESUS CHRIST and to love one another .
NOW what do you NOT SEE the inclusivist HIC reminding anyone about and rather Attacking those WHO DO REMIND US .

YOU and others are doing all to try and tone down things in order to get broader paths

It cannot be forced . But it surely can and surely must be preached and brought to remembrance to all .
For men like epi do not slow down on their doctrine
and thus sheep must not take time off either . But you are spot on right , IT cannot be forced .
IN fact if t his were my own site
ANYTHING contrary to THE ONE TRUE GOSPEL of CHRIST would have been exposed

Brother, we are constantly accused of condemning and persecuting the unbelieving "righteous" simply because of agreeing with the scriptures on that subject. Crazy accusation because it applies to all of us.........we ourselves are not saved by the filthy rags of our own righteousness, nobody is, and that is WHY we all need Christ......if we are persecuting the unbelieving righteous then we are doing it to ourselves as well. There is just so much ridiculousness around here with these things and I wish more could see it. The meek and humble are those who come to acknowledge that their own righteousness cannot save them and accept Jesus, and submit to the righteousness of God. "In me (that is in my flesh) is NO GOOD THING."

I wonder if Epi will come back and respond to those scriptures that speak to Abraham being the father only of those who have faith and who have Christ. So far, just more crickets as usual, as you say.

If we are unable to enter into the kingdom realm of the Spirit (If we are not chosen) then we can still be under God's mercy. I don't preach hell fire (that's for the wicked and unbelieving)...no I teach about outer darkness which is reserved for those who don't know their place before God and persecute the righteous.

I think I will address that later.
