That's what you are doing. I'm saying that death has been swallowed up by life. And that life is better than death...and you have a conniption.

That's you twisting my words as usual in a serpentine kind of way. WITHOUT the resurrection of Christ then Jesus's death is only an improvement on the old system based on death.

Honest people see how you look to condemn through dishonesty...like your friend Behold does... Birds of a feather mock together.
I'm sorry if you experience my post as condemnation. It wasn't meant to be.

Can't believe someone would pit the death of Christ against His resurrection. And call His death nothing but an "improvement" on the old sacrificial system...?.. The new covenant is ratified by His blood. But I consider this to be just another manufactured argument for the purpose of deflection and distraction.

The point is that we must also pass through His death....be conformed to it.....that is the preparation for resurrection life. God's way. And it is kind of a concurrent thing:

2Co 4:8-11
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Can't have one without the other, they go together like a horse and carriage.

The "friend" who got ejected from the wedding feast because he wasn't wearing the right garment, I think it doesn't necessarily mean it had to be the end for him.....think maybe he just needed to go back to where he was and start over as it were and submit to the Lord dealing with his flesh. Believe that is why he was called "friend" I think....always had wondered about that.

Yesterday morning for the first time I actually saw and felt that the Lord's discipline in my life, my personal sufferings, are His LOVE for me, His CARE and keeping of my soul.....and I was being filled with the feeling of His love and care. Before that I always experienced suffering to be punitive and vengeful, and a sign of rejection....that is how it always felt to me and made it that much difficult to bear. Several months ago the Holy Spirit had spoken to me very clearly and unmistakably and said I was afraid of suffering. I was surprised, because I had thought it was fear of other things holding me back......the Lord always knows and sees things we don't. Anyhow we are helpless to deal with these obstacles, whatever they might be with any individual, without the Lord's help. We need to seek His help with them...what is impossible without Him is possible with Him. And these things always do look impossible. I am very encouraged to know He is on the case in my instance.

"Friend", what a nice observation, thank you!

Sister what do you expect from a man who believes it not even Necessary TO FIRST have to BELIEVE ON JESUS THE CHRIST .
Me thinks people might be a seemiing to forget that .
Hic has made v oid the dire necessity for to do the one thing necessary by which one is sav ed
and by which one now has THE SPIRIT and by THE SPIRIT would do the works pleasing to GOD by FAITH IN HIS CHRIST .
A man like epi is much like a man
that came to tell us all about how to drive a car and yet do so without GAS in the tank dear sister .
Aint gonna profit one tiny bit . The man beleives there is no need to first BELEIVE . which has made
this a session of its okay to CALL GOD A LIAR .
Well to any and to all who calls GOD a liar , how much ya bet their works wont be profiting them ON HIS day .

Ponder and pray and pray and ponder on the simplicity of this ......
Now imagine being on the LORDS Day and gathered all before Him .
Now lets say one called GOD a liar and did so their whole life .
DO you really think ONE who calls GOD a liar is then gonna be accepted
by their so called works .
VISUALIZE THAT . a man went his whole life and continued to , despite many warnings , TO call GOD a liar .
DO you really think his works are gonna save him .
And now a word .
HE who BELEIVES NOT the testimony that GOD gave of the SON , OH HE CALLING GOD A LIAR ALL RIGHT .
and thus any who also rails on those who SAY we must BELIEVE on HIM
and follow this inclusive lie , Oh beleive you me Pro deo , THEY will NOT be Recieved by GOD on JESUS DAY .
For they did not do the WORK of GOD but rather called GOD a liar and went ab out
seeing holiness , righteousness , redemption , justification by they own works . Which
WONT be profiting them who called GOD himself a LIAR .
In fact any He who made and loved a lie
And all liars shall have their part in The LOF . And beleive me when i do type ,
IF ONE is calling GOD a liar , THEY THE LIAR . NOT GOD .

And the new covenant is not based just on a better sacrifice that leaves us dead in our sins. The WHOLE gospel centers on Jesus' resurrection...not His death.

So you are fully missing what the gospel is about..and the New Covenant. You are being satisfied with an improvement of the Old Covenant sacrificial system....that never gave people life.

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
How shall not the ministration of the spirit (life) be rather glorious? 2 Cor. 3:7-8

Ok, I play your game. Explain how all this would have happened without the sacrifice on the cross.
The story of the New Testament is not all about his sacrifice on the cross, the blood of Christ, everything is dependent on it. But it is not all about His sacrifice, it is not all about His resurrection. You have to take it as a whole.
You are still trying to formulate a religion that leaves an actual eternal life out of the equation. It's just dead religion.

To the contrary, just not trying to twist the scriptures.
God's eternal life is not in question.
The promise is eternal life for us.
What you peddle is messed up.

I did that too. For a looong time. I struggled in trust and I wrestled because if He loved me then why was He being so cruel and taking any and all comforts from me?? Why could I have no dang comfortable ness like others? What mean thing would He do to me today? What would He take away from me today? What mean thing would He allow others to do to me today?
I think I was carrying my cross through that but didn’t know that’s what was happening and I didn’t do it well but with such agitation. Someone who knows more about it might say that’s not what carrying your cross means because you have to do it fully willingly but Job had some complaints too. He didn’t go into it willingly, he didn’t even know what was happening, just one hit after another. But in the end? Before I only heard ABOUT God but now I have SEEN Him in all of it.

Amen, He is sovereign in everything. And the whole point is to suffer, otherwise it wouldn't be doing the job it is meant to do. I think God only gives us what we need when in His wisdom He knows we need it, or we're ready for it, or whatever the case may be for each unique individual in the uniqueness of their life and circumstances. Kind of like He doesn't give us the "spoiler alert" and comfort too early for whatever He is working out in our life and heart, lol. Otherwise we wouldn't be suffering, or not nearly as much. Who can fathom the Lord....He is so wise and knows exactly what He is doing.

Such a one would need to repent, and we hope and labour for that end, each in their own way I expect.

Eating His flesh...means DOING what He says. Drinking His blood means to enter into Him and partake of His life. We are not to feed on a dead body.
I have always taken it to mean, before anything else, that we need to ingest/receive Him, His Spirit and word, on the INSIDE of us. Where Jesus said behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man OPEN unto me I will come IN to him and sup with him and he with me.

And I want to add that He also said having had the bath we are every whit clean.......but if we don't allow Him to wash our feet we have no part with Him.
