For sure. I'd wager that at the heart of it is replacement theology vs covenant theology. It drastically changes one's perspective.

It's not an Evangelical\Mega church thing. The idea of just wars have been a part of Christian theology nearly since the beginning. St. Augustine usually gets the credit, but it has Scriptural support. God Himself condoned war. King David, who was the apple of God's eye, was a warrior. Ecclesiastes 3:8 affirms there's a time for peace, and there's a time for war.
