Speaking in tongues?

Hi everyone, do you speak in tongues? I was baptized in the Holy Spirit about 1 week after I got saved, a few days later I was lying in bed when God spoke to me and asked me if I wanted to speak in tongues, I said yes. God got me started and now I can do it at will! Starting off I could only say a few words in tongues but now I have a full-blown language! I also have 5 different tongue languages and I can switch between them by thinking about it! I believe this is "diversity of tongues" as said in the bible! Every day now I walk down each floor of my apartment building praying in tongues, I also go outside and walk down the street praying in tongues. I can feel something shift in the spirit world when I do this! There is an evil presence on 3rd and 2nd floor of my building but it leaves when I go down there and pray in tongues!

Yes, I was baptized with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues in my teens. It is something that comes purely through Holy Spirit, not myself.

Yes , I do. I pray in tongues fairly often, when the Spirit gives me one. It isn't always the same one.

Prayer IS the Communication Method For A Human to Speak TO God.

Tongues, is Simply a Language Foreign to the Speaker, but “Understood” by a person “Hearing their Language being Spoken”.

How exactly…
Does “Praying TO God”, in a Language, you neither Know or Understand WHAT you are Saying”…
A Benefit TO A Person, whose Language IS Foreign TO You, and Such Language IS NOT being spoken “TO Such Other person”??

It's of benefit to me (I've never prayed in tongues in public).
I've always found prayer a struggle because I get tongue-tied and can't think of things to say. Praying in tongues bypasses that problem.

When my father was dying, I found myself praying in tongues as I drove to the hospital. I 'recognised' it as being like the "wailing women" that I'd seen at Middle Eastern funerals on the TV. I always had a difficult relationship with my father because he had serious mental health issues. I found it comforting to be able to mourn for him in the Spirit when I didn't feel any grief in my own heart.

I can relate to this. I find it easier to connect with the LORD nonverbally, from a place of worship, from deep place in my inner being... then Holy Spirit takes over, words come in tongues and then understanding comes, and words in English pour out. That is when the most powerful prayer time happens.

I do not Reason a person speaking, gibberish, in what they neither know or Someone listening with no interpretator of if it is a language or what it means…

God knows our thoughts when we pray and when you can not form the words in your own native language.

You're wrong on both counts.
Paul says in I Corinthians 14 that tongues are not normally understandable unless someone is given the gift of interpretation - which may not be the case! (verse28)
And there are also occasions, even today, when the tongue is understandable by one or more people without the gift of interpretation. My husband knows of an instance where someone prayed in tongues for an injured motorcyclist - and was amazed to discover later that he had been praying for the guy in Turkish!

You guys and gals are really blessed. Good for you. I worship with many denominations but Holy Ghost churches are my favorite. I have seen so many miracles with tongues and the movement of the Holy Ghost in those churches. Those that speak in tongues have a closer relationship with God. It is remarkable to see and I wish I spoke in tongues. If you like share some more of your experiences.

How many witnesses would you require for verification and confirmation? What kind of evidence? Videos, perhaps? - but videos can easily be faked.

Way back in the 1960s a journalist called John Sherrill collected testimonies of numerous instances where tongues had turned out to be known languages. He wrote a book called "They Speak with Other Tongues." How many testimonies are required to make a convincing case, in your view?

i go for walks in the woods for i like to pray, rejoice & petition unhindered and sometimes with great volume

Tongues is that and more then what you listed = 1 Corinthians 14:1-2

Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries

ur not exactly my doctrine of men learned one .
THEY spoke the heavenly language all right .
And yet they could hear it as though it was spoken in their own tongue .
OR do you THINK its too hard FOR GOD TO DO THAT .
Notice the others heard what sounded like mumbo babbling to them .
IT was THE SAME language , THE SHEEP could hear and understand in their own tongues
But the rejectors could not hear and understand .
SO lets do an exodus outta mens doctrines and an entrodus back into JUST the bible please .
