You just give them fodder when you discuss with them. When they realize they’ve been caught and don’t look perfect in something, they adjust so they can say “no one has caught me cheating!”
They also look at style. Since most of their walk is cosmetic...they rail at those who are not interested in cosmetics, but just speak the truth with boldness. As in...."how dare you expose me to the truth". These people hang out with others who don't offend their egos. They are looking for respect from others in their fallen state. Anything but repent and turn to God in truth.

Here are a few scriptures.....they are all GOD's word regardless of who penned them.

Heb 6:4-8

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Heb 10:26-31

For if we sin wilfully (keep on sinning wilfully) after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Mat 3:10

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

2Pe 2:18-22

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

I mean it couldn't be more clear, but those who don't want to accept it, can't accept it...it makes them blind to the truth and they have to start "reasoning" or twisting the obvious truth away.
1 Cor 15.1-4, Eph 1.13, Col 2.13
Since hear, trust, believe that Christ died, was buried, rose 3 days later is how we today are saved, HS sealed & forgiven of all sins
and Gal 2.16, Rom 3.28, Eph 2.8-9, Titus 3.5-7, Rom 4.5, Rom 5.1 are the performance requirements.

Can you list
where Jesus VIA Paul taught what is required for you to forfeit your entry into Heaven ?

Hey Liz, the POLITE request was where Jesus VIA Paul
Please try again :)

ps The Bible does not teach Paul wrote Hebrews, nor did he write Peter or Matthew.

You are a product of a mass religious delusion based on the mob. This thread is about Jesus loving a young man who was curious about what it takes to inherit eternal life. The religious contagion of the mob wants to condemn the young man because he didn't want to lose his life as he knew it.

But make no mistake, people are condemning themselves by condemning the rich young ruler. That's the lesson behind the lesson. But people are not that wise...instead they follow a religious ideology that seeks to silence and denigrate those who are speaking the truth. That's why you hate my presence. But I know you from other forums where you had the same subversive effect. Basically a religious ideologue who hates the truth.
So do your twisting and accuse me of what you are doing. You may fool the novices and ego seekers here. And they may even be in the majority, as they are in all the reaches of Babylon.
You are not speaking the truth as bdavidc clearly pointed out from the thread below: ⚠️

You have replaced the plain teaching of Scripture with your own mystical system. You are not correcting false doctrine. You are contradicting plain statements of Scripture while calling everyone else Bible illiterate. That is what a false teacher does. Jesus rebuked religious teachers who made themselves guides while mishandling God's truth. You are doing the same thing. You call the biblical gospel counterfeit, call those who disagree Bible illiterate, and then redefine the very verses that expose you. Stop hiding behind claims of superior understanding. Stop twisting Scripture to protect your system. Romans 5:9 is still sitting there staring you in the face: “justified by his blood.” You are a false teacher. The problem is not that people cannot endure your “sound doctrine.” The problem is that your doctrine cannot endure the Word of God. You keep replacing biblical words with your own mystical meanings and then declaring everyone else “unlearned.” Scripture says we are “justified by his blood” and “reconciled to God by the death of his Son” (Romans 5:9-10). You keep teaching around those words, redefining them, and then acting like anyone who rejects your doctrine just isn't “spiritual” enough to understand you.

You were also exposed by bdavidc in the OP below: The truth hurts but you really need to hear it.

*1 Corinthians 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

It is all GOD's word regardless. Isn't that what matters? It doesn't have to be written in a letter by one specific person. It is believers who are being warned, that is very clear, not those who "never really knew the Lord in the first place". And as I told someone else, I'm not getting into a debate about OSAS here.

You should stick to delivering mail. My teaching is only for disciples and seekers of deeper understanding...training for saints. You are stuck on the same level as bdavidc in thinking you have your ticket to heaven/valhalla.

If you wanted to challenge me on any one point you would be far wiser. But the fact is you don't know what to do with ANY of the many dozens of verses I post from both testaments. Those verses were never included in your indoctrination so you write them off, dishonestly, like any JW would who you take outside their indoctrination.

My teaching is exactly precise and includes every verse in the bible...in its balance...showing a divine framework to build an understanding of eternal things. I have helped many up to now. The fact that you are beyond that kind of help is sad but to be expected. Many are called but few are chosen. Stay with the crowd.

But that is not speaking of you...but here is Jesus indeed speaking to you...

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

How can you possibly know this about me?

He can't, but it is what he does. He calls himself a prophet of God and in his view prophets of God are always right.

So now you know, get used to the judgements and insults or put him on ignore.

Welcome to the forum BTW.

He actually calls himself a prophet of God and believes he is always, right? That would explain a lot! Jesus has something to say about false prophets. Matthew 7:15 - Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

His judgements and insults say a lot about him. Luke 6:45 - A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Still can't even begin to discuss holiness with you because you still have it all surrounded by false doctrines and limit the power of the cross to what you can see with your natural eyes. The thief on the cross sure found out what the power of the cross did for him, and he didn't have time to do anything but repent and believe.
1 Corinthians 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
And I have to say your disdain and arrogance against God's people is really appalling. Not what one would expect from a supposed man of God at all. I hope people reading your posts are taking note of all your spiritual abuse.
Many of us have taken note of his spiritual abuse and spiritual narcissism.

I do think he has wisdom to share but then it's all lost because of the surrounding condemnations and personal insults. People just remember that parts.

Touché :Broadly:

But.....

This is a Bible forum, we are here to share and edify each other, not to condemn and insult each other.

Teach, don't strife.

1Kor 3:1 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.
1Kor 3:2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready,
1Kor 3:3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?

It's a test I bring to bear. I can tell how strong the ego is by giving both a message for the inner man and a message for the outer man. I do this because I learned it from the Lord. So if all you remember are the hard things then your outer man is stronger. If you can look beyond the message to the outer man and respond from the inner man, then you are active in your inner man. If you can smile through the message to the outer man and only respond to the message to the inner man....then you are blessed...and your outer man is out of the way. Once I see that the antics of the carnal outer man have ceased...then it's all blessing. :)

Wisdom can also get choked out by false doctrine. I remember him saying this.

Jesus did NOT come to forgive sins but that through Him we might be overcomers as He is. The cross is about holiness not forgiveness

Redemption and the forgiveness of sins are tied to Christ's sacrifice and blood shed on the cross. (Romans 3:24-26; Colossians 1:20) To discard that foundational truth is not wise.

1 John 5:4 - For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

An interesting viewpoint. Have you considered applying it to your particular situation?

I speak with mainly novices here. My teachings are wasted on spoiled flesh. But others are also observing...and you never know when someone might want their religious certainties challenged.
