@TLHKAJ said there are different types of data centers (post 168), so in context it is somewhat of an issue. Until she pointed that out, I thought a data center is a data center is a data center. I was wondering what are the different types.
It's one of those 'a rose by any other name is still a rose' things.
It's part of the dialectic process. The illusion of choice creates a dialogue to consensus, the result of which is always the same.
I know we can have internet and phone service without them storing and harvesting our data.
That would be the ideal. But the camel has had its nose in the tent for so long that it has moved right in with us. The purpose behind data collection is nefarious.
How do you keep 'em on the farm after they've seen the lights of the city?
The irony of online postings against data centers is that they create the need for more data centers.
Yes, it is an "irony," even as we must pick and choose our battles (while never making excuses for our less-than-godly choices).
In general, wouldn't you think that we could reduce the need for data centers by not keeping iPhones attached to our hands 24/7?
Yes! (Well, it would at least reduce the volumes of data streaming from us to them.)
This morning, I chose to hitchhike to the internet cafe. A lovely self-proclaimed "empath" picked me up and insisted on telling me my life story and asking intrusive questions. I did some "binding to inactivity" while she talked the spiritual line of one quite "infested." She stopped enroute to check out someone's garage sale. While we were sitting there at the curb, her cell phone rang. She instantly dropped our convo mid-sentence and went for the phone in her purse. So I immediately did an about face, exited the car and went on my way, hearing her weak protestations (excuses, rationalizations) as to why she dumped me for her phone call. So disrespectful.
This is the place where the perps have the majority. And they accomplished it with a mere phone (in reality, military grade weaponry). Yes, this format (internet forums) is being thoroughly data banked and they admit that they have begun to crack down on "problem posters." And I have been censored in real time; I have watched my posts being changed and/or deleted before my eyes. But to attempt to draw distinctions between the different volumes of data streams is a fruitless exercise at best and a diabolical entrapment at worst.

This is the Beast system being set up in our midst.
