It does not. You wont find it. But it is Jewish tradition...that's where it came from.
I also heard that the High Priest had bells around the hem of his skirt ..( I do believe there is a scripture verse for that somewhere, in the description of his holy garments)...so that the people waiting to hear that he was moving ...and as he came out, knew the blood had been accepted.

I have heard it taught when I was growing up but I never studied it or even considered it until your thread. So this shed some light on yet another FALSE teaching in the church i attended growing up.
I did a scripture search on my Bible app and sure enough it wasnt in there.

i searched it out .. we went to a place in Eureka springs Arkansas . where they have a live play and several Bible model places a holy land tour they have a tabernacle in the wilderness. a high priest comes out and does a teaching Eureka Springs Arkansas what makes this so special at one time they nearly went under.. ;lack of funds.. volunteers comes in and works very knowledgeable ..i love the holy land tour the last year we went it was HOTT the lady doing the teaching at the upper room and at the tomb ,had a bad back and was having some heat related issues . in her presentation at the tomb. she had issues .i felt the lord speak to me to say lets pray for her.. so i blurted out lets pray for her.. expecting as a stranger for some one to speak up..nope i got to it was wonderful people stayed behind to help her and later we put her on the bus. he husband drive the tour bus.. these folks are all vol. some drive from out of state . i met a Jewish Vietnam vet who had converted that helps with the play . very special place takes me close 4 hours to drive from southern mo to north ark

i dont where you live but imo it is well worth it they have tour buses that go there years ago they was packed by his grace they are operating in the black and adding new bible models

Although none of this matters one way or another, we have to remember that we also have no proof one way or another, just because it isn't mentioned in Scripture, that the rope thing was not a Jewish custom. Can you show me anywhere in Scripture that people trimmed their fingernails.. or cleaned themselves after "eliminating"? Yet, I think we can state with confidence that they did both.

Silly fun facts are entertaining, but we must remember not to draw a sword for battle over them.

I read that the veil was made of very strong material and was approximately 3 feet in thickness.

The fine twined linen was very coarse if the curtain was 3 ft. thick and they would have been very heavy to boot . I think that what you were trying to say was that each of the curtains was 28 cubits in length and 4 cubits in width. [Ex 26:2]

either way this was no easy task .the details given out in the dessert . it was of God that is what matters amen or o me

(May be myth or perhaps did occur in a period of times, per mens understanding.)

1) The hem of the robe Was with the natural dyes of a pomegranate.
2) Golden bells circled around the hem of the high Priests garment for when he went into and out of the Holly or Holies, ('so that') he would not die. And was signal to others of the Hight Priest entering and exiting the Holy of Holies.
FYI.. Priests were not to handle dead bodies.
