PART 1
God made a covenant with Abraham (originally Abram) around 2,000 BC, but it has several aspects which must be fulfilled in the future. This everlasting Abrahamic covenant includes Christ, the Church, and redeemed and restored Israel on earth. This covenant also includes the Gospel, since all nations would be blessed through it. Yet many Christians do not know what all is mentioned in the Abrahamic Covenant, and many believe there is no future for Israel on earth. In all these Scriptures *seed* means either physical or spiritual descendants, and Christ is a physical descendant of Abraham through Isaac, Jacob, Judah, and David (with both Mary and Joseph being in the line of David, and Joseph being His legal “father”).

GENESIS 15: ABRAM S SEED: THE NATION OF ISRAEL IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL
4
And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness...
18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

GENESIS 17: ABRAM CALLED ABRAHAM: THE FATHER OF MANY NATIONS
1
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

GENESIS 17: ABRAHAM THE ANCESTOR OF ISRAEL IN THE LAND OF CANAAN
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you...

GENESIS 17: SARAH THE MOTHER OF MANY NATIONS
15
And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her...

PART II

GENESIS 17: ISAAC THE INHERITOR OF THE COVENANT
19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him...
21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

GENESIS 22: CHRIST THE *SEED* OF ABRAHAM
14
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:..
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed [Christ] shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice...

GENESIS 26: ISAAC'S SEED: BOTH ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH
1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; [Israel]
4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; [the Church]
5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.,,
23 And he went up from thence to Beersheba.
24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.
25 And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.

GENESIS 28: JACOB S SEED: THE TWELVE TRIBES AND THE CHURCH
1
And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from
3 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;

4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham...[Israel]
10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; [Israel]
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. [the Church]
15And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

GENESIS 35: JACOB S SEED: ISRAEL AND MANY NATIONS
9
And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him.

10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.
11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
12 And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.
13 And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.

Please allow me to make the following comments.

God began speaking with Abraham and outlining the Abrahamic Covenant around 2150 BC give of take 10 years.

God promised to Give the whole earth to Abraham and His descendants, Isaac and then Jacob and to the descendants of Jacob who did not rebel against God.

God also promised to give to Abraham and his descendants a prescribed area of the earth for a period of time beginning when the Nation of Israel crossed the River Jordan and ended around 1500 years later when all of Israel was scattered to the four corners of the earth as a sign to Abraham's descendants that they too would receive the earth as their inheritance at the end of the Age of the Ages.

For example Genesis.35:12 should be understood to be translated in this manner: -

Genesis.35:12: - 12 The earth which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants, after you, I give the earth."

In both instances above, hā·’ā·reṣ, is used, where as in Genesis 15:18, where hā·’ā·reṣ is also used, God limits the portion of the earth that Abraham's descendants will receive to a small portion of the earth for a period of around 1500 years before they are removed from the land and then scattered to the four corners of the earth so that when God redeems the Israelites that have not rebelled against Him, that they will then be a blessing to all the nations and people of the earth.

The question that we, who have been grafted into the vine of Israel, should be asking ourselves is, "When will we receive the inheritance of the whole earth?"

If the answer is in in the distant future, then the understanding of the Abrahamic covenant concerning the inheritance promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his descendants after him, should also be understood to be in the distant future and not as the adopted understanding of the majority of the scholars where they saw/see a short term time span in God's fulfilment of land to Abraham and that this was fulfilled when Abraham entered the Land of Canaan.

If we believe in a contextual short time span fulfilment of the Abrahamic Covenant, then I believe that we are missing what God purposes were for Abraham's descendants.

Shalom

God promised to Give the whole earth to Abraham and His descendants...
How can the whole earth be within the boundaries of the Nile and the Euphrates????? As you can see even David's Empire did not extend all the way to the Nile.

What I had said above was: -
For example Genesis.35:12 should be understood to be translated in this manner: -

Genesis.35:12: - 12 The earth which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants, after you, I give the earth."

In both instances above, hā·’ā·reṣ, is used, where as in Genesis.15:18, where hā·’ā·reṣ is also used, God limits the portion of the earth that Abraham's descendants will receive to a small portion of the earth for a period of around 1500 years before they are removed from the land and then scattered to the four corners of the earth so that when God redeems the Israelites that have not rebelled against Him, that they will then be a blessing to all the nations and people of the earth.

As you can see, what I said was that in 15:18 God limits the area of the earth that Abraham descendants will receive to a prescribed portion of the whole earth as a sign that in the distant future they will receive the whole earth as their inheritance.

When you respond with a question, please ensure that it is within the context of what I have written. Your question demonstrates that you have not considered what I had written.

Shalom

Looks like Israel in God's future Kingdom on earth is only going to be ONE-THIRD in His Kingdom!

Isa 19:23-25
23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:

25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, 'Blessed be Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel Mine inheritance.'
KJV

Orthodox Jews often have a skewed understanding about God's future Kingdom, thinking only they are going to be blessed in God's future Kingdom. Jesus actually said those of "the children of the kingdom" who reject Him will be cast to the "outer darkness", so that's going to make a lot of room in the lands of Israel for believing Gentiles on Christ Jesus! (Matthew 8; Ezekiel 20:38)

The whole layout of the future Ezekiel temple and city is to be 60 miles square, and reach to the eastern sea (Indian ocean), to the Egyptian sea (Nile) and to the Euphrates in the north, and the Mediterranean to the west. If situated where Jerusalem is today, which Zechariah 14 does show, it spreads out to the west past... today's existing land. Zechariah 14 reveals when Christ's feet touch down upon the Mount of Olives a great valley is formed running east and west.

So it is a fallacy to compare Christ's future Millennial Kingdom layout on earth with today's layout in the middle east.
