Its our shared dreams that intrigue me. Even unbelievers have shared and common dreams.

As believers though, our shared dreams don't immediately SEEM to be shared. One man will describe, say... brightly colored airplanes flying around dropping supplies and another man might describe a dream of all these colors shooting around in the sky, when both men have dreamt of angels.

For some reason, its shared dreams that I can see sometimes. They seem like they have nothing at all to do with each other until you can just see that they do...

I have learned that to have 3 dreams is common. But the person doesn't KNOW they had 3 dreams. It all seems like just one dream to them. They will tell the dream and then they say, "and then the dream jumps to a different scene," which they then describe, and then the dream "jumps" again. But in actuality, it is the same dream being...tweaked. Like, you are seeing it more clearly each time.

For example, I remember hearing a dream that a woman called "The Island State of Texas." She dreamed that Texas was flooded in some manner until it became an island surrounded on all sides by water. Then the dream "jumped" and I can't remember the second part, and then she said it jumped again and she was talking with a man who was saying something about black eyed peas or maybe the singing group The Black Eyed Peas and how his daughter, named Gracie, didn't like them. And it probably sounds insane, but I could see that the man did not say black eyed peas but was rather saying "blockaded seas." And I could see that it was 3 dreams of the same thing, each one becoming more clear.

I don't know what good that might do for anyone, but I do believe that 3 part dreams that jump are one dream becoming successively clearer, and I do believe they are prophetic if they are had 3 times. Its just that a person can't usually see its the same dream 3 times...

That is how pharaoh's dream with Joseph went. He had two dreams that were one and the same....

So how do you know which dreams are from God, which are your subconscious working things out and nonsense dreams, and which are from the Enemy.

I have had apocolyptic dreams lately, but I have had end times on my mind a lot. Like the golden gate bridge collapsing...and Bibles being replaced with universal ones. Weird ones.

The big thing I question is who does the dream glorify and the purpose of God dreams. Id say God dreams are to edify the church/warn the church. While enemy dreams are to confuse/create fear.

I try to take dreams like a grain of salt, but I do pray for interpretation and discernment.

I think it's telling that you dreamt that Bibles were replaced with universal ones. That's the exact goal of the New World Order: a universal "religion." However it won't be the religion that Christians practice. I would take that as a spiritual dream.

I've had a time where I dreamt that my mother, a very beautiful woman, was dressed in a white wedding dress. It was an odd dream, but within a short time she passed away. I had shared the dream with her and she had an odd reaction, as if she knew that God was preparing her to go home and she knew that dream was meant for her.

My daughter was dating a man and had a dream of a spider which she was confused by. She looked it up and I'm unsure how she concluded that the dream was a warning. I suspected that it was her subconscious or God speaking to her in the dream. It turned out the man was a cheater and she broke up with him.

We always have to be careful since Satan often mimics Christ. I believe that's why we're to "train our senses to discern both evil and good." But we are told that God speaks through dreams.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
- Acts 2:17

It's re- quoted in the book of acts , at Pentecost when Peter speaks out. The original quote is from the book of Joel, when he is talking about the last days - I can never remember where quotes are from, but this came up in a discussion recently xx
I am reading a book by Tom Wright called ' Revelation for everyone ' it explains the book in a way that I can relate and understand. I am finding it really interesting xx

I dont remember addresses well. It is why I usually don't add too much scripture to my thoughts, because I have to google where it is at to make sure I have it right. I know the scriptures. but I can get verses meshed. Bahaha. Like half from one part of the Bible and the other half from another part. Bahaha

Ive had a few spider dreams that scare me... Why I want to be able to discern them better. It is hard for me to say what is a spiritual dream or not. Ive written some of my dreams out in a new blog and what I might be able to learn from them. Some I had when I was a child...

This happens to me too. But its because the Spirit has connected the verses for you. He recalls them to your mind in a connected way.

Maybe interpretation is the wrong question Ive been asking. Perhaps it is as you Pearl...what spiritual lessons can I learn from my dreams...if a wise man can learn from a fool, how much more can a wise man learn from a dream. Ivw been wanting to know what each little symbol means. But I see now that what I need to ask is what I can learn if anything. Even if I am wrong on what it means, and whether or not it is from God, if I am bringing my focus back to God and my walk with Him, it will relinquish some of that fear I have had. And your dream about the queen Pearl...and the outcome....thanks so much for sharing. California where the golden gate bridge is...this state does need a lot of prayer. As well asour president and this country. I think I see what God is charging me to do now instead of worrying. These were from God!!! Not all, but some...fear has definitely been a cloud over my mind in many areas.
A few months ago I was having some really disturbing dreams Mayflower, but I'm sure they weren't from God as they would disturb my sleep and I'd wake with a madly beating heart but could only remember bits of the dreams. I asked God to protect my mind as a slept and not to let in these nightmares but let my sleep be dreamless or let the dreams I did have be calm and peaceful but also said that I was open to hearing from him in a 'God dream' as I slept. My sleep has been a lot more peaceful since.

And like last night my dreams were all about weather and tornados. This morning I found about 30 tornadoes were reported across 18 states. With more bad weather this weekend. Headed straight towards us too. Need to keep everyone in prayer for these storms....

I pray the Holy Spirit protects me from the Enemy and gives me the confidence to rebuke the enemy at night...I need to remember to pray for peaceful nights. :)

I used to have some terrifying dreams like the one Pearl described and I have some thoughts on them, but I have to go right now. I will come back tonight and relate what I've learned and what I suspect about them. You guys have a great day. Practice trust today rather than worry and anxious thoughts. :)

Thoughts: I was reading Acts 2 today and before that was the Day of Pentecost. And from what I understand Paul was saying that day of Pentecost was referring to this...so has this been ongoing since the day of Pentecost? Is Joel referring to this too? So it is just not for end times in the way I was thinking?

I was going through the list of scriptures and a lot are prophetical I don't quite understand. I'll have to seek out origins. So if anyone understands those better, with the 4 Holy figures, flying scrolls in Ezekiel, etc. Feel free... I am more trying to understand the reasons for the dreams/visions...which prophecy is a big one... But here is my scripture and thoughts for today. It is about Paul.

But when they resisted and blasphemed, he shook out his garments and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.” And the Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent; for I am with you, and no man will attack you in order to harm you, for I have many people in this city.” And he settled there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
ACTS 18:6‭, ‬9‭-‬11 NASB

Thoughts: This is the second time I have seen God using a vision/dream by night to calm someone's fears to go in a certain direction to share the Gospel. I haven't had any of these sort of dreams...

I read how God warned Joseph to take Christ to Nazareth, because of the king seeking Jesus' life also. So Visions/dreams were used to protect....

So far when looking at my own dreams I can ask:

1. Does this dream edify or teach me/the Body of Christ in some way?

2. Is this dream meant to be passed on?

3. Is this dream prompting me to pray for something or someone?

4. Is this dream warning me of something to come for protection (does God still use dreams for this purpose today? I know my sister's dreams have come true before, like car wrecks, so I listen to her).

5. Does this dream frighten me, and is this fear prompt me to do good, or is it fear from the Enemy to be a stumbling block?

6. Does this dream happen more then once? Does it happen in more then one way and mean the same thing?

7. Is there confirmation from God's Word or does it go against scripture?

Okay I'm back.

So, after I met God and received the Holy Spirit, I began having these dreams where I was walking beside someone and He was talking. I never saw His face. But what He was telling me was always like...very profound, life altering. And I would keep repeating some phrase He had said because I was afraid I would forget it.

Most often, I would wake excited but then not be able to quite remember what it was the man had said. But occasionally, I would pull the thing I'd been repeating over and over with me into wakefulness.

Switching from phone to computer.

I started a blog to write out some of my dreams. @Pearl I had a floating dream similar to yours. Through your lessons, God has really used you to inspire me...and I am feeling so much better. These dreams are just always on my mind. And now from God or subconscious, whatever, some of my dreams are drawing me closer to God and inspiring me. They are clearer to me now. Before it was sort of like a jumble. I think because I was so "me" focused. They just scared me.

Learning from my Dreams

I had a few of these dreams when I was 4 to 6 years of age...

I think what is so scarey to say something is from God, is it isn't and I would be blaspheming my Savior in some way. Ive felt God has given me words before. I never heard of it before coming here... And I told a couple people about it...Patty and Chris. But I am even more leery of that. Just because, who am I? And If I am wrong, does that steer people away from God or even though I am forgiven, is God angry I say "This is what God says?" I have so many different feelings on it. And like Pharaoh with Joseph. He didn't know the one, true God. That his vision was from Him. As His child, I know His voice, but sometimes it is hard to hear when there are so many others...and like I remember @Frank Lee I can't even remember what I told you something from God. Was that even right? Was I completely wrong for even saying that? Anything I do I want to do for God's glory. But I want to know also...it is why I think this study is so good!!!! Please feel free to contribute. I ask a lot of questions, but it is how I learn. I'm usually not asking for answers. It motivates me to find them. Bahaha. But feel free too...

So with these dreams, I just knew it was God. Then I found some things in the bible, like a verse that says, even in my sleep you instruct me.

And when I read about Jacob having a dream about a ladder reaching up into heaven, I somehow came to think of these dreams as Jacobs ladder dreams.

Soon after I came to the understanding that God was teaching me/instructing me as I slept, I began to have nuisance dreams. In one I was heading to some sort of seminar and a loud and boisterous fellow ran up to me and screamed in my ear that I had just won a new car.

Then I found some dreams in a forum I used to belong to and I could see that they were related. The person was always going to a meeting or the most common one was of being in a classroom waiting for the teacher to arrive. One person dreamed of sitting on a park bench reading a paper. They were all the same dream. They were learning something just like my dreams or headed somewhere to learn something.

And in their dreams there was often some nuisance, like in mine. One was sitting in the classroom and someone sitting behind them kept kicking the heck out of the back of their chair. In another classroom dream, there was someone eating a bag of potato chips and crinkling the bag very loudly so they couldn't hear what the teacher was saying. And in the one where he was sitting on a bench reading a newspaper, this annoying little fellow kept sneaking up with an eraser and wiping away big sections of the newsprint. Another was a man going to a seminar type thing and stopping in a shop to get a quick sandwich first when a man came in and started arguing with him for no reason at all, then when he said, I don't have time for this or I'll be late, he stepped outside and a huge circus was passing by with men on stilts and balloons, music, wild animals. I asked him if he ever made it to the seminar in his dream and he said no, he got distracted by the circus parade and forgot about it.

So I saw that God instructs us in our sleep and we see it differently. We try to explain and make sense of what is happening in spirit. And I also saw that somehow satan knows something is going on, knows we climb that ladder to God in sleep. I don't think he knows exactly what is transpiring...but he doesn't like it and he tries to distract and annoy us so we don't get instruction from God in our sleep.

Well, almost as soon as I became aware satan was trying to prevent, my dreams suddenly turned from annoying to terrifying. I began to sleep with a light on. Still to this day, I just leave a light on. I feel I have to somehow convey that when I say terrifying, I mean extremely terrifying. I woke from them screaming out loud and waking others. And my heart would be beating so fast that I couldn't hear anything but the blood rushing in my ears. Once, I almost called an ambulance because my heart wouldn't stop beating so fast for what seemed too long a time. With one of these dreams, I could almost swear that I wasn't even asleep yet and heard a hiss in my ear, from like...right beside me. Just terrifying.

Then one night I had another terrifying dream, soon after the hiss in my ear, and I was turning to run, frightened out of my gourd, when suddenly, I just whirled back around and said, wait a minute...you're not allowed to hurt me, are you...? And this giant red head, evil looking, began to scream in rage, right in front of me, so close I felt spittle hitting my face and saw the veins in the neck throbbing. And then there was a loud pop and the head disappeared.

And I've never since had another of them.

But back to the dreams of the others. With the man reading the newspaper, he chased the guy with the eraser and caught him and beat the tar out of him. And some of the other people, once they knew satan wasn't allowed to touch them in the dreams but only to try to terrify them, they reported never having another of the terrifying dreams again either.

So...its a shared dream. Going to receive some knowledge or learning but being pestered, or being terrified.

I don't have the dreams any more of walking beside a man talking, nor the terrifying dreams. I think...it isn't necessary that we try to figure them out. God is impressing something on us and we will know it when we need it or when it is time to understand it in our awareness.

I have a suspicion that when God is instructing us in our sleep, we see a lot of things we never remember. I even think we may see future things somehow (maybe we are being too precocious and catching glimpses of things to come) and that this may even be what deja vu is. That feeling that we have already lived a silly little scene or that we already heard someone saying something that they just NOW said to us. But that's just a suspicion on my part.

See enemy dreams scare me, because I once had one where the lights were turned out and literally couldnt breathe. I woke up not breathing. But I'm not glorifying those. No.

But like your seminar dream, I had ones just like that!!!!! Like I was walking in a school hallway. Every class door was open, but I walked right past every one into a bathroom and a stall, because I was distracted.

What I learn from this now after reading yours, is God wants to teach us things if we are listening. We need to guard against distractions.

Thanks so much for sharing!!!!

What was it that you kept repeating to try to remember?
