News of this coming disaster reaches us, our arms are powerless and agony grips us like a woman in labor. Outside is terror, for in an instant the Destroyer is upon us.8 People are limp with fear and they wet their pants in fear.9

Nations are ready to attack, but no one goes to war, as their preparations have triggered the wrath of the Lord.10 The enemy has prepared his weapons, but it is upon himself that his deadly shafts tipped with fire will recoil.11 As the fire consumes the stubble and flames burn up the chaff, they will disappear like fine dust.12 The horde of your enemies will crumble into powder. Suddenly, in an instant, punishment will come from the Lord with thunder, earthquakes and flames of devouring fire 13 and the sky will disperse like smoke with a great rushing sound. 14

The Day comes, burning like a furnace, all evildoers will be as stubble, that Day sets them ablaze.15 The Lord comes in fire, like a whirlwind bringing retribution in His furious anger of flaming fire. He will judge all mankind and many will be slain by Him.16 Furiously the Lord traverses the earth, in His anger He tramples down the nations.17 Evil people will die, they will be incinerated and go up in smoke.18 The Lord will destroy humans and animals, dire distress will come upon the sinful peoples, their blood and guts will spill out on the ground.19 Corpses will fall and lie like swaths behind the reaper,20 those who the Lord kills on that Day will lie scattered from one end of the world to the other. The Ezekiel 38-39 attack by Gog/Magog, does not happen until the Lord's people are living in peace and prosperity, without defenses, in all of the holy Land. Isaiah 62:1-5, Ezekiel 34:11-16, Romans 9:24-26
And Daniel 11:40-44, is in the final few years before Jesus Returns.
But the terrible Day of the Lord's fiery wrath, is the next prophesied event.

Israel has a massive nuke arsenal and their troops are the best in the world. So you are wrong to say they have no defenses at present. Only after the Lord's Day of fiery wrath, will the new citizens of the holy Land be defenseless; relying on the Lord for their protection.

I believe that the very existence of the State of Israel today, surely places us in the Latter Days. Therefore, correct understanding of the end times should be the aim of every Christian believer. We need to not be taken unawares of coming world changing events. Those Christians who believe in a ‘rapture to heaven’, may find themselves unprepared to face severe Tribulation. The Lord has called us to be His co-workers, so we must know what lies before us, to work diligently toward the furtherance of His Kingdom. Remember that Jesus rebuked the people of His day, for not being able or willing to discern the signs of the prophetic times in which they lived.
Since 1948, we have seen an amazing restoration of the Jewish people into a portion of the Land:

Joel 3:1 When the time comes, I will reverse the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem.
God says; in that time period, certain things will occur. The next prophetic event will be an attack on the Jewish State of Israel by the Islamic peoples, with the tacit support of many other nations. The Lord’s judgement on them will result in the destruction and depopulation of most of the Middle East. Jeremiah 12:14, Psalms 83:1-18, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Micah 4:11-12, Zephaniah 1:14-18

Joel 3:2-3 I shall gather the nations into the valley of Jehoshaphat [the Lord Judges] I will judge them on behalf of My people, whom they scattered among the nations.
This event is not at the Return of Jesus, as it is described in Rev. 19:11-21 and Zechariah 14:3-4

Joel 3:4-8 What are you to Me, Israel’s neighbours? Do you want vengeance? I will make your actions recoil onto your own heads. You have harmed Judah and stolen their treasures. I will rouse them and bring them home; your own people will be enslaved.

For the universal Church of Jesus Christ and all peoples, it is time to realize that we are now at the edge of cataclysmic events. The obvious determination and preparedness of Israel’s enemies is so great, that there is no defense adequate to cope with their attack. It will require divine intervention to avoid the devastation of a worldwide nuclear exchange. The Lord’s terrible Day of wrath by fire, earthquakes, storms and tsunamis will be triggered by this attack and will result in the virtual depopulation of all the holy land. The assurances given concerning the protection of the faithful Christians, if not kept, would render His Word unreliable, and His character flawed. God’s promises never fail, He will protect His people during His Day of vengeance and wrath against His enemies. Isaiah 43:2, Isaiah 41:13, Psalms 91


It should be clear to anyone that a secular State of Israel is not God’s highest ambition for His people. Currently the Jews only occupy a small portion of Greater Israel and are beset by problems, water shortages, religious schisms and are threatened on all sides. Many, many prophecies predict a remarkable future greatness for ALL the tribes of Israel. Most Bible scholars relegate these predictions to the Millennium, as they cannot see any earlier fulfilment. They have often been influenced by the well entrenched “rapture to heaven” view and a belief that wrongly thinks the Israel of God is separate from the Church of born again believers.

But when thought is given to what so clearly must happen before Jesus Returns, then wonderful is the prospect of a righteous nation, living in peace and security in the Promised Land – after the whole area is cleared and cleansed by this great Day of the Lord’s vengeance. There's a push to make this world nuke free and that includes Israel. Saudi Arabia has expressed a desire to obtain nukes. It's possible that when the Antichrist comes onto the world scene, one element of his world peace initiative will be the total disarmament of nuclear nations USA, Russia, Great Britain, France, China, Pakistan, India, North Korea. He will insist that Israel tears down her Security Fences and he promises to protect Israel from Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya, Sudan. Israel then will be dwelling safely in the land without walls.

God’s Solution for the Middle East Crisis:

Isaiah 42:13-15 Long have I restrained Myself, I kept silent and held Myself in check, but now I groan like a woman in labour. I will make a great noise and devastate the earth. I will go forth in fury, as a soldier in the heat of battle, I shall burn the trees and pastures and make the holy Land a desolate wasteland. Joel 1:15-18

Jeremiah 49:2-5 A time is coming says the Lord, when the cities of Jordan will hear the battle cry: Amman will become a desolate mound and all their towns will be burnt to ashes. Do not boast of your strength, for I will bring terror on you from all sides , you will be driven headlong. Amos 1:13-15, Ezekiel 21:28-32

Jeremiah 49:17-18 The lands of Edom/Esau will become burnt and desolate, a destruction like that of Sodom will strike them. Isaiah 25:1-3, Amos 1:11-12

Jeremiah 49:23-27 In Syria, they have heard of the coming disaster, they run about in terror, pains like childbirth grip them. A fire will devour their cities and their military men will lie still in death on that Day. Amos 1:3-5

None of these plainly stated prophesies have happened yet. They will be literally fulfilled by:

Isaiah 13:6-8 Wail: for the Day of the Lord is at hand, a great devastation from the Almighty! Because of it, every hand will hang limp, courage will melt away. Fear and terror will come on people, agonizing pangs will grip them, like a woman in labour. Jeremiah 6:24, Ezekiel 7:17

Isaiah 30:30 Then the Lord will make His voice heard in majesty, His arm will descend in His fierce anger with devouring flames of fire amid cloudbursts and storm winds. Isaiah 30:26a tells us exactly what the Lord will use.

Jeremiah 9:22 Corpses will fall and lie like dung in the fields, no one will gather them.

Isaiah 37:26 Have you not heard? Long ago I planned it and now I bring it about. Your great cities have crashed into heaps of rubble.



For now; the best advice is:

Hebrews 10:25-27 Keep up your fellowship and encourage one another, as we see the Day of the Lord drawing near. For if we deliberately persist in sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth, then there can be no further atonement and there remains only a terrifying expectation of the fierce fire that will consume God’s enemies. Surely, we CAN see that the great and terrible Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath against the nations is drawing near. His Judgement/punishment by fire; Psalms 11:4-6

Is there any other possible and workable solution between Israel and the Islamic peoples? Populations keep increasing; resources keep diminishing, humans cannot resolve this situation, we need God to do it.

Ezekiel 14:21-23 There is no hope for Jerusalem when I inflict My four punishments upon her, yet some survivors will be left in her- both men and women. Look at them as they come out, they will be a consolation for the disaster I have brought to her. When you look upon their conduct and actions, you will realize that I acted with just cause. Isaiah 22:1-14 Zephaniah 3:11-13

Ezekiel 16:59-63 The Lord says; I shall treat you as you deserve, because you violated an oath and broke our covenant. But I shall remember you as in the days of your youth and will establish an everlasting covenant with you. Once I have pardoned you, [Judah] you will be so ashamed and humiliated when you remember all your past conduct that you will never again open your mouth. Zechariah 12:5

This prophecy is about the end of the world as we know it. The Day of the Lord’s vengeance and fiery wrath, will change our way of life. Those ‘dwellers in the Land’, that is in Greater Israel, face severe punishments for their sins and abominations.

THEN, the rest of all the 12 tribes of Israelites will join the remnant in all the Land of Greater Israel, to prepare for the Return of Jesus. Ezekiel 20:34-38, Ezekiel 36:8-12, Isaiah 11:11-12.



Isaiah 65:1-2 I was ready to respond, but no one asked – I said; Here I am, to a nation who would not call out to Me. All day long, I hold out My hands, appealing to those rebellious people, but they went their own, evil way and pursued their own devices.

Isaiah 65:3-7 They were a people who provoked Me by sacrificing to idols and eating unclean things. Such people are an anathema to Me. Your record lies before Me, I shall fully repay your iniquities, both yours and your forefathers.

Isaiah 65:8-9 The Lord says; as there is juice in a bunch of grapes, so I shall act for the sake of My servants. I shall leave a remnant, giving descendants to Jacob and heirs to Judah. My chosen ones will possess the Land. Those who serve Me will live there. Sheep and cattle will graze there, they will belong to My people – those who seek Me.

Isaiah 65:11-12 But you who forsake the Lord, I shall destine you for the sword, because when I called, you did not answer, you chose what displeased Me.

Isaiah 65:8-16 The Lord’s righteous people will live in New Israel. Isaiah 65:17-25 describes the joys and blessings of the Millennium reign of Jesus, to come later.

Ancient Israel disobeyed the Lord and failed to follow His commands. Now, modern Israel [the Jews] fail to acknowledge how God has supported them. Also, the modern House of Israel [the western nations] are mostly atheistic or apostate. The Lord is going to judge and punish both Judah and Israel, leaving only a remnant.

V9 ‘My chosen people, those who seek Me, will possess the Promised Land. [Every faithful Christian; this will happen before the Return of Jesus]

V 13 “My servants will live in peace and security, while your enemies are shamed”.

Here are Bible passages that confirm the fact that the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath is some time before His glorious Return. His people, righteous Israel, every faithful Christian who believes in God and keeps His Commandments, will live there in prosperity and peace. Ezekiel 34:11-31, Ezekiel 39:25-29, Isaiah 35:1-10, Amos 9:13-15, Romans 9:24-26

Isaiah 66:15-24 ...the Lord coming in fire [not on a cloud, in His glory, at this time],

...bringing retribution in anger.

The Lord will judge with fire and sword and test all mankind. All those unclean and wicked will die.

I will gather peoples of every tongue- they: [all Christians] will see My glory. 2 Thessalonians 1:10....revealed to His own.

I shall put a sign on [some of] those survivors and will send them to declare My glory to all the nations. [before the Return –these are the 144,000, Rev 7 & 14, Isaiah 66:19

From all the world, your fellow peoples will come, on every conveyance, like offerings to the Lord. Some will become My priests. Revelation 5:10

His Christian people will rebuild the Temple and serve in it. 1 Peter 2:9, Rev. 11:1-2]

As the New heavens and New earth that I am making will endure, so will your posterity endure. This will happen at the end of the Millennium, Revelation 21:1-7

All mankind will come to bow before Me. They will see what happened to those who rebelled against Me. This will happen during the Millennium. Zechariah 14:16


Jeremiah 30:3 ...both Israel and Judah will return to the Land.
A remnant; only as faithful Christians. Jeremiah 12:14-16 But, first the Land is cleared and cleansed:

Jeremiah 30:4-11 The Lord says to Israel and Judah, “How awful is that Day, a cry of terror, anguish for Jacob.

On that Day, I will save My people.
The terrible Day of the Lord/the sixth seal, coronal mass ejection from the sun. Isaiah 30:26, Isaiah 32:15-20

Do not despair, [faithful] Israel, I will bring you back safely from afar. Isaiah 51:3


Deuteronomy 32:41-43 I will sharpen My flashing sword and take vengeance on those who hate Me. Rejoice, you heavens, He will avenge His people and cleanse their Land . Ref: REB some verses abridged.



There is a wonderful logic in the promise that those people who love the Lord will live in the Promised Land and all those prophecies to His holy people will be fulfilled. They will settle there and be “a light to all nations” as God originally intended.

Isaiah 60:3.... over you, His glory will appear and nations will travel to your light.

Very soon, there will be worldwide, dramatic events, especially in the Middle East, which will completely change the area. The Lord’s faithful people will go to live in all of the holy Land.

When the Lord Jesus returns, He will save those people from the attacking armies of the Anti Christ. The sudden and complete destruction of those armies as described in

Rev. 19:17-21, does not match the Sixth Seal : Rev 6:12-17, or the many other verses describing the Lord’s Day of wrath and vengeance. Amos 5:18-20, Joel 2:11

Then those Gentile people who have refused the “mark of the beast” will join them, Matthew 24:31, and live in the Land, Isaiah 56:8, under King Jesus, for 1000 years.
