Ya, still am pretty much.

gonna say that we have to have a different def. of "eternal"?
Ah, have to? Def not, you can pick your own def of Eternal, certainly
There is only One Immortal, Who dwells in unapproachable light regardless i guess
you and your sons will be here with me, or you can toss the whole rest of that Book i s'pose too
And you go back to your old posts, and save them to see your progress, genius! How long have you been doing this and has it encouraged you?
Ha ok i don't save them, they are already saved on the forum? I just go look them up?

back to bite ya  Can be quite humbling as well ♥
ah, ya, so dunno if "encouraged" is quite the right impression, at least initially, it will be humbling, but now I've got so adjusted to that as a marker for growth i'll prolly be freaked if that didn't happen i guess lol. I've removed that top quote like three times, just ignore it k. Dueling software here, all day long with iPad this goes on

I am having trouble with sharing memes, keep getting the big red X.
Sry about the algorithm thing, I thought you were calculating your spiritual growth through your algorithms. I'm a technophobe

I've always been a reader (well, not in grade school, hated it then, lol) and looked up many words over the decades so, algorithm has def. come across in lot's of novels :)

You are talking about humility as being your marker for growth? As opposed to using an algorithm? HA...if so, then I would also prob. freak out too if I were have a couple months of low readings . What top quote? ;)

Ah. I think the book is...ha, free now...
Codependent No More by Melody Beattie - Read Online
um but i cracked scribd too, so dunno if you'll be able to DL to app without starting your free 30 days? But your libary has one too, prolly even an e-book you can dl or whatever. Codependency for Dummies might be another goody, those are usually pretty good, might even speak to you more. I have darkweb sources, torrents and whatnot, but prolly not for you i guess

A fab description of a facet of Coda btw

the completely possible imo, you will do even greater things right. Why don't we Read that art literally, i wonder? You will do greater things than Jesus, Whom you may currently be worshipping, and thus may feel uncomfortable with that Scripture that must be true, or the rest of the Bible is pointless. Imo say it like that :)
I've made a note of the Book by Melody Beatie. I found it on Internet and saved the site but really don't like that approach. I am a regular at the library so I will check there for a copy to check out and read.

ok the algorithm just gets me to the old posts a little easier, you get that right. And i mostly posted that Bc i had to go "algorithms for dummies" too, but now i make like bots and whatever, it's just taken the computer to a whole nother level, and i am not really very computer savvy either. I mean xp i could do anything in, but 10 pretty much leveled that field, getting out of MS as we speak in fact. Anyway i am trying to recommend algorithms to seniors as an interesting way to keep the mind engaged mostly, but then info comes to you like on a silver platter lol, might be creating a monster maybe. Ha one just pinged me lol, right as i was typing that period :)

Anyway, yes, the humility, which is hard for me
if so, then I would also prob. freak out too if I were have a couple months of low readings . What top quote? ;)
um, mine mostly run along the lines of me not hearing who i am jousting with, not realizing that they don't even realize what they are saying, HR is prolly a good example for herenow, and i get frustrated and harden them rather than just running or whatever, or ignoring them like anyone else with sense does. I have like a facsimile of intelligence but very little "sense" where ppl and social are concerned, and irl i know what to do but xferring that to online, where we have even fewer cues, i'm basically lost in space

Ah tbh she is black and female, but all i had as a resource 20 years ago. Don't get me wrong a seminal work, but Coda for dummies which i have not read might be more up our alley?

"algorithms for dummies" Ahahah, I need the whole collection of the "For Dummies" books, because many times I find myself, like "o_O" :D
Yeah, I now understand what you mean about the algo's getting you to the old posts faster..

"but now i make like bots and whatever,"
You mean like, the game bots? Or real robots, lol. I know there are lot's of kinds for online as I just looked it up :) and oh yes you most certainly ARE computer savvy! At least compared to myself and a few others on here! And, oh how I miss XP!!! Was and prob will always be my favorite :( But, we shall just roll with the stupid, money making upgrades

Awesome way to keep the elderly alert and more alive, just awesome!
Lol...nah, no monster there, IMHO. How long did it take to type that lone period? Blink of an eye? That is what happens with me too only, I wish it were more often and, I do believe there is something on the horizon brewing for what I'v been praying for for so long. If it comes to fruition, I will share, ♥

It's funny as, you do not come across as lacking humility in your posts...at least I do not think so Mark and, I know of at least one member (for sure) who agrees with me there.
"mostly run along the lines of me not hearing who i am jousting with, not realizing that they don't even realize what they are saying, <---Could this simply be "focus" on your part?

Very, unusually busy last couple days and, and my brain is pretty tired...so, HR?
BTW...at first, I told myself I would not put anyone on "ignore"...but I must say, this is a different place for me since I have started that with only a very few. Gotta protect our peace of mind.

Ah, yes...I imagine the transferring from real life to online communication would be a challenge for you, especially as it presents it's own challenges in general.
I think we all have a certain facsimile of intelligence when it comes to a totally different mode of communication, eg: social media.
Don't feel lost in space, because, you do make allot of us put our grey matter to use ♥

just don't dl anything new, basically

i dunno, prolly faking it most of the time i guess. Grace is deceptive, ok, grace can be learned, mafia guys often have a lot of grace, etc. Fwiw i would never trust anyone with no "bad" habits lol, i know that sounds weird, but i have had that impressed on me too many times now, perfectionists crumble when you need them the most. The best grifters are chameleons, and the only diff to Paul's all things to all ppl is the motivations i guess

i should have so much sense lol. But then i am not here to be agreeable to my terminal family members either

as near as i can tell "social" means a way to be pleasant as one seeks the best advantage? I dunno. The best hearts seem to be not very "social"
Can you be social with someone who is sucking your blood, like the Mithraists do here? Smiles in your face are very deceptive imo, i prefer to make friends of enemies myself. Guess we'll see what happens when Jesus does not return and reality sets in i guess. Here in about oh, 5, 4, 3...lol.

Yeah, no more patches, malware for xp. I no longer have a puter with the program anyhow.
"i dunno, prolly faking it most of the time i guess."

No way. I kind of think that you say what you mean and mean what you say. But then, my own observation is over the WWW yet...this site, being a Christian site, it really should not matter IF we all agree to be the children of the Most High. And...if all things are working in the "spiritual" realm that we cannot see with our really bad eyesight, lol...then we should be able to fellowship in truth and "spirit" as we worship the same way, we should be as one also...even without the physical connection. JMHO!!!!!!

Ha, I would never believe ANYBODY if they say they have no bad habits. Although, in this small book of the characteristics of certain breeds, there was only ONE breed that had a single word after "Bad Characteristics"....The Cairn Terrier ♥ TOTO!!!!! LOL!

"perfectionists crumble when you need them the most."
Ah, yes they sure can do that. Many perfectionists simply expect the same from everyone else, does not make for a very healthy or pleasant relationship.
"The best grifters are chameleons"
Ha!! SO true that is. And I have met several "grifters" who have manipulated me out of much, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, monetarily as well as physically... Oh how they can take advantage of those who only want to help give them a leg up. And they change right before your eyes! Give em an inch...
Our church is doing a series on discernment. Second week...or third? - and, it's another one my Pastor has hit out of the park. I love the guy, he's spot on for the huge part! and, he is really funny too.

"and the only diff to Paul's all things to all ppl is the motivations i guess"
Yeah, or you could also call it the "ulterior motives"! lol...yeah, same things, in this sense.
"i prefer to make friends of enemies myself. Guess we'll see what happens when Jesus does not return and reality sets in i guess. Here in about oh, 5, 4, 3...lol."

Lol Mark, sorry to throw your prophetic countdown to my response? - off kilter there. :D
And, don't they say to keep your enemies closer than your friends? ;)
None worse than one who feigns "friendship", smiling with a shiny object held behind their back

Ah, I've recently resurrected a couple from junk shops, and suddenly i have a business here selling xp machines that i have reset and stripped down--I pull out a lot of heavy MS junk and replace it with lighter weight stuff, etc, remove the indexing, makes them faster than newer 64 bit machines even, rip out the firewall, etc. Every time someone is looking over my shoulder i sell one now lol. From literal junk. Be advised if you're reading this these machines are prolly no good for transactions, especially when i'm done with them, certain sites i wouldn't even visit, FB prolly too, but they are easy to tweak for whatever the user uses them for, and blazing fast. I can usually even install like one newer prog with a patch, etc. Boomers just love them, unfort they are the hardest to make understand the limitations too, my warnings page has gone to two pages now lol

Yes, and grace in Ephesians is a wonderful subject! :)

PS: Good to see you again.

Thank you. Good to see you too. :)

It was 50° here the first day of summer. The hardwood floors had my feet freezing and coffee wasn't ready yet. This OP definately warmed me. Praise our Father.

Maybe thats why it's Amazing Grace. :D

Grace is a subject when in discussion most of us are afraid of it. I mean we don't understand it in it's fullness. What is meant by that? If we start a conversation on grace your mind will go immediately to; "oh that means I can live anyway I want to and get away with it."

Grace is one of the most understood of positions of the believer. First why would a God fearing bible believing individual want to live out of fellowship with their Father. That makes no since, but at the same time our law keepers, well at least our advocates of law keeping, do the same thing. Their law keeping or trying to please God by being holy puts them in the same position. Have you ever been around those that have a form of law keeping, they are the meanest people on earth. The ironic thing about law keeping is those that try to do it, already have Christ in them if their born again.

So now you may understand mind renewal, the soul-mind can live anyway it wants, by grace or by law. I like use Pauline verbage and say! You can live the law life or you can live Christ, it's your choice. You are not going to be forced to live like a human being, you can live like a religious whatever if you choose to.

Many cannot live pure grace because of their mind. It may be the way they were raised, in a home where everything in life is bad for you and the devil is waiting if you get out of line. That makes living grace hard to do, it takes time for mind renewal to undo some things people are taught. But thank God He knows and will teach those that want to understand grace. Well what if I do get out of line, I can say grace has attached to it way more correction than the law ever did. The law killed you, that's it just dead, but grace has correction to be able to grow and understand the things of God, you will know your Father in grace, you cannot know your Father in the law.

In grace the world is a schoolhouse, it is not a place of punishment, it just feels like it at times because we have not been taught the world is a schoolhouse. It brings forth son's trained and meat for the Father's use in the world, Galations 4:1-2

1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Forget heaven, get it now, heaven will be here soon enough, get out of your escapism mentality because you are not going anywhere.
For an Epistle such as Ephesians, grace is a pivotal word and concept. :)

People can always be profitably encouraged to think doctrinally.
