Believers have the Spirit of Christ, the hope of glory within them (Colossians 1:27). Those who walk in the Spirit will show forth daily, moment-by-moment holiness. This is brought about by consciously choosing by faith to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide in thought, word, and deed (Romans 6:11-14). Failure to rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance will result in a believer not living up to the calling and standing that salvation provides (John 3:3; Ephesians 4:1; Philippians 1:27). We can know that we are walking in the Spirit if our lives are showing forth the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22,23). Being filled (walking) with the Spirit is the same as allowing the word of Christ (the Bible) to richly dwell in us (Colossians 3:16).The result is thankfulness, singing, and joy (Ephesians 5:18-20; Colossians 3:16). Children of God will be led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14). When Christians choose not to walk in the Spirit, thereby sinning and grieving Him, provision has been made for restoration through confession of the wrongdoing (Ephesians 4:30; 1 John 1:9). To “walk in the Spirit” is to follow the Spirit’s leading. It is essentially to “walk with” the Spirit, allowing Him to guide your steps and conform your mind. To summarize, just as we have received Christ by faith, by faith He asks us to walk in Him, until we are taken to heaven and will hear from the Master, "Well done!" (Colossians 2:5; Matthew 25:23).

I'll let God be the judge of that ? I do my best everday somedays I suceed better than others

According to Scripture, you cannot "let God" do anything.

If it is so important for one to "walk in the Spirit," and is so important for you to tell us to "walk in the Spirit," why are you not able to know if you yourself are indeed "walking in the Spirit?"

What part of I try my best everday didnt you understand ? God is the one who judges us all by our heart
Ecc 3:17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for [there is] a time there for every purpose and for every work.
Now whether you agree or not we all can only do our best according to Gods words above Those who walk in the Spirit will show forth daily, moment-by-moment holiness. This is brought about by consciously choosing by faith to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide in thought, word, and deed Not that its your concern but I spend most of my day everyday doing that to the best of my ability
Thats why I run my own site where his Word is studied daily however in the End whether we each succeed or not will be judged by God ....

If one walks everday in a false religious doctrine, thinking they are doing the above ...Who do you think judges that in the end?
So the fact I say God will be judge he will be the final judge of us all.
I wasnt telling you or anyone to do do anything just pointing out what God tells us all

There is no Scripture which says walking in the spirit is an issue upon which we will be "judged." Where did you get that from?

As well, there is no Scripture which says we are to "do our best." That is a secular, human idea. Our best is not what God wants us to do, because the "best of our ability" is never good enough for His standards.

LOL well you go ahead and play scripture lawyer all by your little self ...
You speak as the Pharisee's reading the words without understanding what all is met by them. Tell me Shelli do you walk in the spirit ?

I do not need you to explain God to me thanks
Those with a right heart understand my post and Gods meaning I stand behind every post of scripture I make
I and I alone am responsible in God eyes for what I say/teach ... I will reap the rewards or suffer the consequences ...
to be honest about it I dont answer to you I answer to higher power ..So your opinions don't much matter to me one way or the either.

Are you not able to find the verses in Scripture which show we will be "judged" for whether or not we walk in the Spirit? If you cannot, perhaps you were trying to pretend your ideas are God's Word.

"A right heart" will understand your posts? Lol. Yes, that is a line of reasoning which opens the door to all sorts of Unscriptural ideas, doesn't it?

Remember, sincerity is not a test for Truth. And, running away from me does indeed show the kind of substance your faith has. Jesus and the Disciples never ran from the tough questions put to them, but had strong, Biblical, and confident answers without "feeling" threatened. Can you do that ... ?

Don't forget to base your faith on the very Word of God, rather than on what you want it to mean.

What the writer is trying to impart is an experience of discipleship.

As with the original twelve, one may follow Our Lord and make every effort at success.
Reverses are likely to occur. When they do, the true disciple experiences a Godly sorrow.
Life is like that sometimes; weakness, sloth, lack of faith or simple neglect can result in events which may appear to be a stumbling or failure.

In such times, the only one who has the right to decide whether the disciple is a hypocrite or not IS THE MASTER.

Personal efforts at discipleship, including unforeseen difficulties, are beyond the scope of evaluation by outside observers.
In the case of sincere discipleship, the disciple will often admit that he or she is unable to evaluate the effort and will defer to the judgment of the MASTER.

Modern Americans are entirely hedonistic and have no concept whatsoever of personal restraint, dedication to principle or self-evaluation.
Yielding to authority as a jesture of respect or adoration is entirely alien to our lawless selfish society.

It comes as no surprise that such a life style must be explained as though it were somehow foreign, for indeed it is.

Can we know if we are truly walking in the Spirit? We have, "rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4)

By being in the "gentle and quiet spirit" of God's love in us (Romans 5:5), we are pleasing to Him, in His own love's "incorruptible beauty". And if we are in this, I offer that we will experience this absolutely beautifully wonderful satisfaction which is in God's love, even enjoying this along with God, by being in this with Him. So, we can have this automatic feedback, of if we are being pleasing to You, LORD: while we are being pleasing to You in Your love's "incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit", we will be enjoying the perfect satisfaction of this, also (c:

So, this is not a theoretical thing, but how You please to share with us, this personally, in Your love's beauty. So, thank You so much for loving us by personally sharing with us, like this!!!
