Sunday 2-2-20, Shebat 7, 5780 1st. day of the weekly cycle, 44th. Winter day

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
2 Corinthians Three:6

2 Corinthians Three:6-18 KJV

New Covenant Is The Basis Of Ministry:

6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.

11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Love always, Walter and Debbie

“Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”

Hi, there is just so much to unpack here. Here’s just a weak attempt at a few thoughts

“who has made us able ministers”

God Himself did the work in them to make them able...They took nothing out from them “selfs”, but only as they saw what was being done in them, by the hand of God Himself...

“but not of the letter, but of the Spirit”

Not of any shadow or type, but to be in real possession of that Spirit that would actually and in real time fulfill God’s promises in us....i.e. cause us to walk in His statutes and keep them, or as the same truth is put forth in the NT

“being conformed to His image”

Such true and living truths. Be blessed as God works the able-ness in us, accordingly as pleases Him.

Love your posts/thoughts and the witness of your relationship with Him, Not me

Amen, this post is a continue from 2-1-20 verses 1-5, Forasmuch As Ye Are Manifestly Declared: Saturday 2-1-20, Shebat 6, 5780 7th. day of the weekly cycle, 43rd. Winter day

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 2 Corinthians Three:3

2 Corinthians Three:1-5 KJV

Changed Lives Prove Ministry:

1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

Love always, Walter and Debbie

The enormity of the truth;

“Manifestly declared”

(The proof is in the pudding..... a self evident reality.)

Be blessed as He makes these reality’s....life in us, Not me

Amen, in all of my life in a natural sense, I guess GOD has been trying to get my attention on His Son, to take His yoke upon myself and learn of Him.

As I see what His spirit is making a better way of life for us to follow Him for what His word is saying, but we must continue to do in words and deeds in knowing the truth of a matter.

^Very learned and wise words^

I have come to learn, that it is my personal relationship with Him that is of first importance. If I keep that relationship, fresh, alive and in a seeking state. Sooner or later He will reveal an increase of Himself...So regardless of how slow I am to learn, keeping my heart before Him is my work...As He continues to perfect us.

A fellow servant of His, Not me

I believe when Jesus says to take His yoke upon us and "Learn" of Him, it means to me as slow as it takes, as long as a person is learning of Him, but looking towards Him at all times.

For The Letter Killeth, But The Spirit Giveth Life
What is Paul saying here with reference to the Ten Commandments and the Law of Moses?

Everyone who reads the Law will be driven to the realization that he or she is under a death sentence. Why? Because everyone has broken at least one commandment. Thus "the letter killeth".

However everyone who hears (or reads) the Gospel, is convicted by the Holy Spirit, repents, and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. And it is the Holy Spirit who will give the gift of eternal life to the believer. Thus "the Spirit giveth life".
