That's probably not much comfort to the families of the 187 people dead so far in the U.S. And this is just the beginning. I'm still not sure why Trump decided to disband the White House Global Pandemic unit. It was a very stupid idea; we are going to be seeing more of these, not less, and any epidemiologist would have told him so, if he had bothered to check. But he relies on his "gut feeling" that he seems to think is better than knowing what he's doing.

Best estimate of deaths, based on our experience so far? (Assuming one-half of 1% death rate)

About 480,000 dead if we see 30% of Americans infected. (which is a low estimate based on data so far).

This is why a president who discounts experts for his "gut feeling" is so dangerous to all of us. Over 200 Americans dead, and we're still in the exponential phase of the pandemic here. Every day Trump played down the danger, he made it worse.

What would happen if something even MORE SERIOUS should happen. What would you do if you COULDN'T BUY OR SELL? Do you have provisions in your household to get through some number of weeks/months, or would you succumb to ACCEPTING the Mark Of The Beast?

This kind of either/or scenario doesn't fit into my faith.

How do you know your provisions won't be eaten by another?

Not that it matters, but I live in earthquake country, so yes, we have a couple of months of bare necessity stuff, and a month or so for more regular needs. Again, not that it matters.

We aren't to be trusting in our pile of stuff, or course.

And there's nothing which DEMANDS that you obey Jesus' instructions. You have your own FREE WILL and can DO AS YOU PLEASE. However the outcome may not result in your benefit. Have you considered that maybe Jesus knows more than you?

Actually, it seems that there's NEVER anything someone does that is INHERENTLY CORRECT. Someone always tries to divide two opposing views down the middle and BLAME BOTH. This is wrong.
