SEND DOWN YOUR RAIN
Send down your rain upon me Father;
Cleanse; revive; restore; renew.
Give my needy soul refreshment
And draw me deeper into you.
Send down your fire upon me Father;
Purify me in his flame.
Refine me till I am as pure gold,
And glorify your holy name.
Send down your breath upon me Father;
Re-awake my dormant heart.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit;
Of Christ’s body, I’m a part.
Send down your peace upon me Father;
Gentle as the morning dew.
Softly speak into the stillness
As I wait to hear from you.
Hear your servant’s fervent prayer Lord;
Empower me; fortify; renew.
Give me wings to soar like the eagle
And do what you would have me do.
For you are my Heavenly Father
And I love to worship you;
Bringing praises and thanksgiving
To my God who’s always true.
