As you watch world events unfold in all the world just about, you realize what you once knew (knowledge of good and evil) is just a tip of the ice burg, if you will, of the creation of the knowledge of good and evil. It was once thought-what you know (your knowledge) you could pretty much base the knowledge of good and evil on it. What that meant was; you will never know it all, but what you knew about the old knowledge was basically all you needed to know because it all operated the same way. I'm seeing the longer you live the more and more of the old knowledge comes to surface in the world. In a way it is endless because of who created, the infinite mind of creator God almighty. I don't want to try to define that knowledge even though the majority (above 50%) of most Christian's live by that knowledge and all the world lives by that knowledge (100%). When you try to define a earthly world event it is exactly that a world event. The knowledge of good and evil is in the world, it can't run the world (though it does). The knowledge that fits the world is the knowledge of the Lord, meaning you can operate in the world with the new knowledge and realize that the old knowledge has never fit the world.

What praytell does that mean? It means a knowing believer has been separated from the world (their mind is changed) and has a new knowledge (understanding) of why the world was created and how your father now uses the world as a schoolhouse for all humanity.

First the world brings Christ forth, even it is in a sinner's life it is still bringing Christ forth. That is the main reason for creation is to bring forth Christ. Bringing Christ into a sinner's life and making them a brand new creation by Christ. The world will be the new instructor of the believing sinner. The world has built into it circumstances and situations that nudge along a believer, at least that is what it is designed to do.

The Apostle Paul came to recognize the world was a schoolhouse and he went on in understanding to glory in his infirmities. The world can be a glorious place and at the same time a hellish place. Some denominations have denounced it as hell on earth. Well I don't think you can go that far as calling it Gianna or Hades or hell, but there is hell to be had on earth. We are witnessing the knowledge of good and evil struggle with itself to fit into the world. Being racist or not being racist is a big push at the moment in time. It really does not matter, what matters is a new knowledge comes into being through the schoolhouse. The old knowledge does not know color differences it only knows good and evil. Color differences come from the knowledge of good and evil and if you live and operate with that knowledge anything is possible.

The world will never agree, it's not designed to agree. It is designed to bring forth Christ and a new knowledge-his knowledge. Glory!

Being raised in a American Indian home I was taught we were victims. That is a hard knowledge to be raised with, you can see how people can feel the world hates them and they are victims. Even as a Christian that knowledge will stick with you. So my point is in the world you will be a victim of something, it is called Satan abuse. He runs rampant through the mind of "the knowledge of good and evil," snaring who he will.

There is no easy way to say "the only thing that matters is the renewed mind to a new knowledge."

I didn't know this about you. You are correct in saying that anyone can adopt the victim mentality and be defeated by it. But as Christians, we are VICTORS in Christ!

Romans 8:31-39
What then are we to say about these things?

If God is for us, who is against us?
He did not even spare His own Son
but offered Him up for us all;
how will He not also with Him grant us everything?
Who can bring an accusation against God’s elect?
God is the One who justifies.
Who is the one who condemns?
Christ Jesus is the One who died,
but even more, has been raised;
He also is at the right hand of God
and intercedes for us.
Who can separate us from the love of Christ?
Can affliction or anguish or persecution
or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
Because of You
we are being put to death all day long;
we are counted as sheep to be slaughtered.
No, in all these things we are more than victorious
through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded that not even death or life,
angels or rulers,
things present or things to come, hostile powers,
height or depth, or any other created thing
will have the power to separate us
from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

I gotta laugh. -- Some people read Daniel's prophetic 12th Chapter, where "knowledge shall increase" and they read the commentators that assert: ~the knowledge of GOD and Jesus shall abound~.

Yeah, what utter hogwash. -- If one follow the previous statement, "men shall go to and fro", they'd realize that man now travels some 60 to 600 mph; and the "knowledge shall increase" is the computer at your fingertips.

Silly people,
Bobby Jo

Thanks Bobby, what do you say to believers having the mind of Christ-how would that come about?

20 years ago a certain President was described as as victim of bad dating etiquette.

I can think of far deeper and more genuine grievances...

But Scripture does reckon bitterness to be defiling, and it needs to be subsumed into the simplicity of faith.

True, but keep in mind it all has a root and that what needs dealt with not so much just a short coming :-)

Hey SM,

I'll speak for me, -- that we can't believe what we hear from the Commentators, from the Pastors, from the Teachers, or from other Christians. There's SO MUCH MALARKEY out there which would DECEIVE YOU from HEARING FROM GOD.

Take for example, the Pulpit exhortation that "Jesus will protect and provide for you". -- What a LOAD of BARNYARD! Luke 22 35-36 ABSOLUTELY REFUTES that notion given Jesus' last instructions before going to the Garden of Gethsemane where HE "NOW" instructs his Disciples (and all who follow) to take a PURSE, and a BAG, and even sell a person's most precious possession, -- their cloak --, to BUY A SWORD.

So back to your question, -- I'd suggest that people Study and Search the Scriptures for THEMSELVES, (Ref. Jeremiah 33:3), and be wary of "smooth words" from the Hirelings. :)

With Best Wishes,
Bobby Jo

Early on in my walk with the Lord, He showed me that I was cutting off the weeds in the garden of my heart at ground level and that each time they would grow back and perhaps a bit stronger. I then learned the phrase, "Where there's fruit there's a root." Of sin, that is. The word also takes root and grows good fruit. This is what we're aiming for.
"But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you." Exodus 23:29 NIV I see this as a metaphor for what God wants to do in our hearts.
Picture chopping down 10 acres of land, which is 10% of your total acreage. Once you clear the trees away, the next job is to remove the stumps. Then it's time to remove rocks and whatever else might get in the way of plowing the field, including roots. Then you plow, plant, and wait. This is how God wants to work in our hearts. I see this as the sanctification process. Shalom.
