Posting links is not a issue if you have been here for awhile and can be trusted. There are many free and good resources out there that would be good to know about, no matter the denomination.

As for me, I'll have to pass.................

From the Web site.

it is appropriate for you to pray for a miracle in the lives of your loved ones. You can pray that the Lord will heal them from their cancer. But as you pray for this miracle you accept the fact that God may not work a miracle in this case.

The scripture says if we pray according to the will of God he hears us, and if he hears us, we have the petitions we desire of him.
(1 John 5:14-15)

I'll have to stick with the Word, and not some sob story about how God may not help us, or help us in a way we don't understand. We are told to know the will of God. (Eph 5:17)

I get red flags when I see someone off on scripture.

You might also consider Brother Horsecamp, that the Lutheran Church has OK'ed gays to preach the gospel.

http://blogs.cbn.com/ChurchWatch/archive/2009/08/24/gay-is-o.k.-according-to-lutheran-vote.aspx

I just warn that many around here might have a field day with you posting anything Lutheran, and you might need to explain what type of Lutheran as the Church is splitting up because of this ruling. Lots of Lutheran's did not agree with this, and rightly so.

So, just giving a heads up Brother...........

Mike

Horsecamp, do you believe that HolySpirit still has a role to play in communicating Christ today? If so what do you think that role is?

Natural Knowledge of God

in "the natural knowledge of god" he quotes 2 timothy 3 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

what scripyures is paul speaking of? just his? his and the previous gospel writers? what about "revelation" that wasnt even written yet? arent they given by inspiration also? there was no compiled "bible" at that time. what of the apocrypha that even king james authorized in his original 1611 bible?

Paul was speaking of the Law and the Prophets. They would have been written in Hebrew. That does not mean that the Gospels and Epistles of the New Testament are any less inspired (God-Breathed). The Apocrypha didn't make it. King James wasn't even a smile on his folks face yet, but who was King James (clue:read what is said at the coronation of an English king.)

king james DID include the apocrypha in his original 1611 version.

they were later deemed to be taken out. my question is: if god inspired the compilation of the original 1611 kjv (which included the apocrypha), why was it later removed? did god make a mistake? did he CHANGE his minnd?

I think you should ask Him? Make sure you use the same tone, see where it gets you!

The apocrpya was deleted because they them selves gave no testamony of being inspired by God .

And some human had done a rather silly thing he put them in with the old testament written in Hebrew .

why do roman catholics concider them part of Gods word ?

they didnt .....can you tell us the year and which pope decided to make them cannoical .

the year was 1546 and the pope that decided to make them canocal was ?---------and the council this was done at was ? starts with T-------
april 15-- 1546

the year was 1546 and quickly after feb 18 ---------they were then made canonical what does that tell you ?

these books were not canonized before then.Because they were Sparius . And the pope knew it.

WAS Luther and the pope good buddies ? Would those books have been made canon by the pope if they were ?
