The other is a Lt Col in the USAF...intel officer. They haven't given us the time of day for years now..it's the generation I reckon....I cannot see what we did to cause any of it, beside being loving and disciplinarian parents....I was born in Leicester, England on a refugee/ dislocation/resettlement Post WWII camp....they had them going into the early 60's. Moved to NZ as wee lad...moved to the US after High School..nearly went to Cambodia after I enlisted in the USAF..changed my assignment at the last moment to Montana....fast forward,,,became a astronautical and an aerospace engineer for the USAF...200 of us then....became a Computer science geek along the way..,,can program in about 10 languages....nearly completed 3 1/2 degrees..was a Minuteman Launch Control Officer....underground capsule ops work.....all the while played rugby, football/soccer, coached sports at the kids level...fished and made many hunting seasons...Overall spent 26 years in the service....worked as a defense contractor with many companies..Lockheed, SAIC, Boeing, Harris..even Qinetiq...of N America....the original one was in England....and they used to be the real engineers working for M16 and the British Secret Service....James Bond stuff...kept na above TS clearance for about 25 years....part of the then 4 eyes and now called the 5 eyes intel organzation...was going back to NZ to work for the NZ branch of the eyes...wife had cold feet at the 11th hour ..she was certain I was going to land there and take off the wheels for good....

Your specifically in aerospace which is cool... I've learnt a lot about aircraft from hanging out with a mate who is an aircraft maintenance technician... He used to acquire used auxiliary turbine engines (APU) to play with and boy did we have some fun in his garage... We're all wearing proper PPE and adhering to safety as much as possible... Lighting up the turbine was always such a thrill... The way it would slowly wind up was insane. I kept thinking it was nearing max but it just keeps winding up faster and faster, louder and louder, the pitch higher and higher, only to see that it still had heaps more... i thought the engine was about to blow the first time i experienced it... LoL

A Minuteman Launch Control Officer... Man... U guys were close to pushing the button a few times, right... Do they still run the minuteman system. From memory i think it got replaced didn't it? I just heard they nixed the trials of one major contender for this vaccine, outright...this must have been one of them....
I guess this article you have is about those that experienced a novel virus.....there is also some trials that produces similar results..

A Brazilian participant in the clinical trial of the COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford has died, Reuters reports. The trial will continue. “Oxford confirmed the plan to keep testing, saying in a statement that after careful assessment ‘there have been no concerns about safety of the clinical trial,’” according to the story, which also states that there are indications that the participant was in the control group and had not received the COVID-19 vaccine. The US trial of the vaccine is reported to be close to resuming after a review of a serious adverse event.

The virus trials are stopped and started by an independent third party who gets paid to be tough but fair.

And if what you are saying is true (I haven't heard about it yet) then there's still a bunch more.

But usually they are stopped and started numerous times before final approval.
They first have to figure out if the sick person actually got the vaccine or a placebo...

And that can take a bit. That veil is not as easy to pierce as you would think.

So far there have been about three major stops and starts...and so far it's placebo that has caused the effects.
I just heard about a guy dying...they just started looking into why but of course the trial was stopped while they looked.

But by this time the third party monitoring is going smoother.

With research the paperwork is exceptionally heavy and must be perfect. My wife is a guru at HIPPA laws and de-idendtifyng samples and electronic signatures and all kinds of stuff you really don't want to snoozefest over.
We just want to know if it works and what our chances are.

I can tell you that if you look too closely at how the sausage is made you might not want to eat it...but you loved the stuff yesterday and couldn't hardly get enough.
