Everything was created for God's purposes and glory. The extremes of scientific discovery only open up the doors to a greater admiration of the One Who has a purpose for everything that happens. Nothing is operating in the universe without His counsel and will behind it.

Although it appears a harsh and evil thing that happened to the banned brother, his errors were numerous and correctable. His preference was to continue forward in his confidence about being "right", and chose to add injury to others, deserved or not.
I appreciate your gentleness and humility Gregg. I do not know how God was able to preserve it in you in this day and age. Many of the elect are victims and castoffs from the world who have struggled with much more than most to stay sane and alive. This can taint and color a persons' viewpoint of things even after receiving the mind of Christ through sharing in His call and inheritance. You are doing well, and your sensitivity is laudable.
Believe me when I say that all things work together for good to them which love God, to them that are the called according to His purpose. It is not the end of the world for this brother, and he will continue to be used mightily by God with the gracious endowments that God has placed in him. Of that I have no doubt. It is unfortunate that we will not be able to share in his growth in the realization of God before the advent of our Lord, unless conditions change and hearts become broadened in love, and offenses are seen in the light of our own weaknesses.
