I'm reminded of a wonderful co-worker who graduated Valedictorian from Princeton, but her beloved Springer Spaniel "Molly" would bring "road apples" (horse dropping) up to the porch to munch on the remaining protein. And if possible, Molly would bring her "treats" into the house, and even try to sneak them up on my co-worker's bed.
Upon hearing her dilemma I instantly diagnosed Molly's problem as a MINERAL DEFICIENCY. And as my co-worker sat in rapt-attention, I detailed that Molly needed an ounce of LEAD.
And the funny thing is that this co-worker still spoke to me afterward.
