    Why did you start believing?

Well, I've tried to explain our view several times and you don't seem to be accepting it. You know what they say about someone who keeps doing the same thing over and over again and expects different results?? I prayed for you as promised and I'm moving on. Have a nice day.

    Why did you start believing?

Christians have looked at the evidence supporting the claims of Jesus Christ and it has led us to believe that they are true. Jesus really is the son of God! Can I prove it to you, I don't believe so. However, I will pray for you! Blessing on you!

    Why did you start believing?

Just like the flat earth people, the best evidence they had at the time led them to believe that the earth was flat, and lived their lives based on that belief. I don't know how to make my point any clearer. A guy who has so far never lied to you tells you it's raining outside, but your lying...

    Why did you start believing?

Beliefs don't need evidence, but that is the "blind faith" so many atheists condemn. But Christians have what we call a "reasonable faith" based on lots of evidence I have already alluded to. Evidence doesn't HAVE to prove something, but it can also LEAD one to believe something. Have you...

    Why did you start believing?

How does one choose to believe? The exact same way juries do it every day in court. They get evidence presented to them and are asked to choose whether to believe someone is guilty or not. They don't have to believe it beyond all doubt, but they have to believe it beyond a reasonable doubt...

    Why did you start believing?

Wouldn't you say that your proclamation that you "don't believe there is a God" is essentially the same as saying that "you believe there is no God"? Please don't sidetrack into referring to other gods...I'm just talking about the Christian god here.

    Why did you start believing?

You know, actually I have to say that there were TWO times in my life when I could say "this is when I started to believe". The first time when I was real young and for the first time decided to honestly deal with the question of the existance of God. Much of my chilhood was spent playing ball...

    Belief a Conscious CHOICE?

Pretty simple really. Before, I did not believe in God. Later, I studied the bible and related resources and eventually came to believe in it. I can't speak for all Christians, but many of us refer to our faith as a "reasonable faith". That means that we have seriously considered the...

    Jesus in the Old Testament

Rand--I like your fleece example. I've never heard that one before. Finding Jesus in the OT is one of my favorite past times...he's all throughout it (duh?). To me, Jesus equals the salvation part of God. Therefore, I believe he is also pictured in many events of this type (salvation...

    Gay Marriage Rights

One thing that has continued to cause confusion on this subject is that many supporters of gay marriage continue to frame the discussion using the term "right". Rights can come from man(government) or God. This country was founded on the belief that certain "rights" come from God and our...

    Greetings

Hello everyone. I've been a Christian for a few years now but not used to participating in forums. I love talking about all of the fascinating ways God works in his creation. Since I'm new, I will probably be silent for a while until I see how things work here. SIncerely, your humble sevant.
