Found the problem. You're giving ownership and authority to "Jews" but really just the Pharisee sect. Why? The New Testament church, headed by James, already ruled on this. I'm inclined to trust him/them more than the Pharisees.

Yes, they interpret the 1st commandment the same way: 'Thou shalt have no other gods before me.' That doesn't make them right. That interpretation is hogwash.

I don't think that you can make any/all of these prophecies about a single pair of people. The idea of "twain anointed" occurs throughout both testaments. There are several such pairs: Moses and Joshua Elijah and Elisha Zerubbabel and Joshua John and Jesus Things have a way of repeating...
