Revelation 13:1-51And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.1) what do the horns and crowns represent? from my understanding, it is the people in power, and people who have authority on this earth, that they should be corrupt and decieve man, and the horns are because they represent evil- like roses with thorns- pretending to be good but really bad.. but why is it 10? and 7? what does that represent and who are these people really?2) so most of these scriptures refer to people from satans army as vile animals (scorpions, lions, bears, etc)- in this case a leopard, which im not sure, or why his feet resembles a bear? but mouth of a lion is definately the things said that are horrific against god i assume (blasphemy) that is why it is like a 'roar'..and also is the beast one man? or many people?3) so would the deadly wound of his head be during the 6th trump? not sure here4,5) so now i think what i really want to know is about the time period (forty and two months)..has this already started? or are we not yet in the 6th trump?..and this would be in the time when those who do not have the seal would be decieved into worshipping this beast because of all the 'wonders' rite?well..a lot more to ask, but these are just some of what i've been studying? I believe there is much to know on this matter..so please discuss

In chapter 13 we will find the rise of two beasts. One will be the rise of a one world political system and the other will be the rise of the religious beast which is the anti-Christ. In this chapter we will find several analogies that many find confusing, but if we follow this chapter verse by verse and stay focused on the subject and object in His Word, it all comes together. 1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. In Revelation 17:15 it tells us that the waters represent the mass of people from every race and nation. Out of the waters are the people that the one world political system will rise from. This same type of beast rose against God in the first earth age as stated in Revelation 12:3. 2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Swift like a leopard, trample like a bear, and the tearing power of the lion. Satan's spiritual powers will utilize this political system, or one world order. (This one world order has started to take shape the last several years). 3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. This one world power will almost come together but it receives a deadly wound and fall apart. But, Satan will come as anti-Christ playing the roll of Jesus to heal the wound and bring it all together. Much of the world will marvel at this miracle and follow after Satan. 4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? Many will worship Satan and the political system. This is when the spiritual war will take place against him. 5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. Remember that Satan's prophecy is given in months or moons. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. He blasphemes Gods temple and all who are in heaven. This is the time when Satan comes to power and claims to be God. Christ spoke of this blasphemy in (Luke 12:8-12) about the hour of temptation when some will be delivered up to anti-Christ. Paul speaks of this time in (II Thessalonians 2:2-12) as it is the time just before the true Christ returns.
1) The answer to your question here comes later in Revelation 17 which is YHVH's (God's) explanation - or that's the way I prefer to look at it as he uses an angel to tell John.Revelation 17:7-8And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.Revelation 17:9-10And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.These mountains are nations and this would not be the only place where nations are addressed as such in the Bible. However, I'll let you find those on your own, verse 10 is alone enough. A king is king of what? A kingdom or nation.Seven is the number of spiritual completion - Christ returns at the 7th trump, 7th seal, and 7th vial. I believe this has every bit to do with the fact that this beast - which is a political and religious one, will appear every bit as perfect as it can.On to the horns...Revelation 17:12And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.These are ten heavenly kings - think of them as Satan's lieutenants. As the following verse continues on, they'll have one mind and they'll give their power to Satan.The key thing to note here is that horn represents power. Jesus was called the horn of David. There are numerous occasions where horn is used to denote power. This is the case here.Psalm 132:17There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.Luke 1:69And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;I want everyone to see this because this is where eyes to see and ears to hear really comes into play:Revelation 13:11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.This is the second beast which is Satan himself. He looks like a lamb - the Lamb.2. The animal characteristics all relate to specific things. In some cases, it's a certain attribute of the animal - ie: the locusts eating away everything - or in others it may relate to a certain kingdom.Notice that there are two beasts. Revelation 17 breaks them down for you. The first beast is political since it has come over time and is working even now IMHO though it's not quite here yet. 3) Yes, when the 7th comes, the role of the first beast is done and that is thrown into the lake of fire as Revelation 19 says:Revelation 19:20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.4,5) The time period is shortened - this is another lesson for another day at the moment - but it is cut down to a five month period. The 6th trump is not yet here and won't be until this period comes. As for the second part, yes this is the temptation. Satan will show up and he will be able to command lightning and work all sorts of miracles. Compared to Christ they are naught but cheap tricks. However, you see how this world goes gaga over a rock star. Just wait until this guy shows up.
