This is my thinking/study area. It's mostly used for planning my day in the morning. The cords on the side are driving me crazy and I don't know what to do about it and it still never feels complete.

Any suggestions?..

Edit: yes I just now realized my ducks are upside down

I love that piece of furniture. do you mean the electric cables. I have a waste paper basket in front of mine which hides them. Or you could pile up some decorative old books or boxes in front of them. Or put a little stool there. Whats the white thing with the black circle?

Thank you, I might do that. I think I might have a waste basket in the foyer or somewhere.

The white thing on the ground is Mr. Duck's Xbox. (We use it for general media.)

The bigger white thing on the dresser is my SAD light, to help with my seasonal depression.

I think I figured out half of the problem. The trim is cool toned and the green walls are warm toned, so it will clash, and it doesn't match the furniture style we have, so it looks like one of these days Mr. Duck is going to come home to a concrete beige room and then I'm going to have to explain myself.

:D

I read a book about an architect and his mantra was that if an item was functional where it was located then it carried a "different functional beauty" from an item that looked good but had no "real" functional purpose.

God sees beauty in all people, even though we ourselves often hold a differing point of view about that person who God find beautiful.

Having the x-box on the floor is not a functional placement for the x-box. Having a three-sided table which can be slid over the power point to hid it as well as providing a shelf for the x-box to be stored upon so that it is no longer on the floor.

Removing the trimmings of our past lives from our view will often lighten an area we have. Removing those articles permanently from our lives is more helpful than we can imagine as then they can have no influence over us.

Well, I use the writing desk all day but I decided the paint job has to go. It just doesn't fit what is basically a farmhouse.

But I did talk to Mr. Duck recently and I think we agreed to move the electronics downstairs. That might be a project for me tomorrow. I prefer it that way because I like it simple.

At least then I can figure out a better way to organize things. It will go in here and it will be the 15th time I rearranged it. :rolleyes:hlf
