A good message by Rev Chris Wickland in the UK. Rev Wickland was a witch in his youth and was delivered by Jesus Christ.

A peacemaker takes action, not just hiding their head in the sand about issues.

It can be hard to bring up certain issues amongst family, friends and colleagues.
If your not careful it can often lead to arguments and bad feelings which is why people prefer to stay quite in order to keep the peace. They don't want to ruin their relationships with family and friends.
This is understandable. There is only so much we can do as individuals and if people don't want to listen or if they disagree with you than there isn't much more we can do really.

Yes I can understand that regarding family, friends and work colleagues. One must use wisdom and discernment, be led of the Holy Spirit. Rev Wickland was talking more about taking a stand against matters that are taking one's country downward...even if it's just voting for the right people.

He makes some very good points - and in a respectful way ( not shouting ) I think there is a danger of this happening in many countries. The only point I would raise is that although Jesus did stand up and speak out about what others were doing, he never actually encouraged people to physically fight against the authorities or the people who were uprising. I definitely agree with this message though ,and I think many do. The Green Party has kind of meant different things over the years , originally it was very much about the environment - they were voted in local for many years, but all they did was get us into debt and build loads of cycle lanes ! lol

@Rita Do you have any favorite UK pastors that are on YouTube? I really like Bishop Cei Dewar... he's a confessing Anglican and missionary. And recently wrote a letter to the King concerned about what seems to be happening with the King.

Rev. Chris Wickland in post one is good too.

I don’t tend to follow the Anglican Church that much and I am not a great fan of the monarchy , especially with the King being the head of the Anglican Church. Although I think the whole letter to wish Muslims well with Ramadan verses the Easter message is a storm in a teacup. The monarchy do not do an Easter message every year as it is left to the archbishop of canterbury and we have loads of Christian Public events at Easter . Whether you agree or disagree he is The king of all the nation and that includes people of many different religious and ethnic groups, so from time to time he does acknowledge different things. I think there is much talk in the USA that he has become a Muslim, just like we have sharia law over here - but that’s not true.
I do watch sermons from one of the local churches but tend to watch them direct from their website.

Isn't the King the head of the Church of England, not the Anglican Church?

When someone on a panel with Bishop Cei Dewar said the Bishop was with the Church of England... Bishop Cei corrected the man. The Bishop said "I am not in the Church of England...I am with the confessing Anglican Church and a missionary."

Bishop Cei is Bible believing and gives excellent messages with much insight. I've posted some of his shorter messages here in the spiritual and inspirational forum. I listened to him speak about spiritual warfare and he brought out a lot of insights about Ephesians 6.

The Church of England and the Anglican Church have always been linked. If you type into google ‘ Is King Charles the head of the Anglican Church ‘ it will come up with a resounding yes. Most people in the U.K. would consider them the same. There is a very broad spectrum within the church of true believers and people who merely believe in God and just go to church, so there are good and bad preachers within it - a friend of mine use to call the church ‘ Bell and smells ‘ or ‘ High Church ‘ They are very much into the hierarchy and traditions ( a bit like the Catholic Church ) They very much believe in Infant Baptism and confirmation ( committing to Christ once you reach a certain age , regardless of conviction or any real evidence of faith )

USA, like most nations is a mix of personal religious Beliefs.

And even within…particular “Religions” individuals Will have ONE common core BELIEF….Yet differ on a multitude of “rituals”, “specific” requirements, behaviors, etc.

Muslims, have their core belief IN he whom they define is (God) and whom they define is Their Gods Prophet…
Their major divide is:
“Descending Ancestral Leadership” …
* Sunnis- hold the belief Islams “leader” should be qualified … a direct descendant of Muhammad.
* Shia- holds the belief Islams “leader” should be based on qualified … knowledge, wisdom and presentment ability, needing not direct descend-ship proof.

Christians have their own divides within “denominations”. One core Belief.
Follower…that “can” Walk Away, lose Belief.
Committed…that is Kept forever, by Gods Power.
And a multitude of differences, rituals, requirements, traditions.

* An individual, identifying “his denomination”, is simply revealing, his commitment to…One core belief…and May or may not participate in the rituals and traditions.

In the USA, every individual has a protected God Given Right to Believe (or Not) and Worship (or Not) Whatever he chooses.

However…the US Constitution was Written, Agreed, Confirmed, would be According to The Lord God Almighty’s Standards and Principles.
AND…
Every Governmental “Official”, is administered an “Oral” Oath of Allegiance To uphold and protect THAT Constitutional Document…
Then Such person, Verifies his ORAL OATH, by affixing, signing, his own Name / Signature, to a legal Document…dated…
“In the Year of Our Lord. “

If “their Lord is not Jesus, they Lied.”
If “their Lord is Jesus, they have a high duty to fulfill, as they Testified, they would.

The UK king/queen… used to be the soul authority, with a “side-kick” advisor of “a Cleric”….AND of course the “Barrons”, who Funded, the majority of The Kingdom, held great influence over the kings decisions.

Today…kings /queens hold the Elite, Descending Titles of Nobility… while Parliament, is elected, appointed to Conduct the Business end of Government.

Islam, has similar, a high Government nations Office, Person, and “religious” “side-Kick” cleric advisor…

Glory to God,
Taken

Not quite sure why you conveyed all that Taken, but thank you for the information - not completely unknown to me - think I know the history of my own country with regards to what authority the Kings and Queens use to have as opposed to what they have now. Although a government cannot be formed without the King or Queens permission and the Prime minister will meet regularly with the King or Queen - so there Is influence from the monarchy.

Quite sure you know the legalities and history of your Nation…but would say not the whole world, people mixed within world Nations Knows that in your Nation or the US or Islamic Nations.

Each has their own Specific High Authority and Consideration of a Religious and Funding aspect of influence.

Wasn’t teaching you, just stating differences.

I heard the latest amount of Shari'a courts in the UK is 100. And even if some Muslims claim they don't have Shari'a courts, they actually do go to them.

I can't recall if it was in the USA or the UK. The Western court had given the children to the wife in a divorce. The Shari'a court instead gave the children to the husband.

This article is slightly old...it gave the amount of Shari'a courts in UK as 85.

They have no legal standing within our law - many interviewed in the USA convey that they have taken over within our legal system, they haven’t.
I have no doubts that within the Muslim communities they have sharia courts, whether that be in the U.K. , Europe , America , Australia ect
I wonder whether the women in the case of her children went back to the court of appeal ?

That reminds me of a translation error. It is said that Islam is a religion of peace but the proper translation is that it is a religion that leaves civilization itself in pieces. :spring:

I pray for Muslims to come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. Some are actually nice people but that religion tries to keep them by fear and brainwashing. But as Jesus said "with God all things are possible."

Yes. I'm sure I've written this before. Many confuse Islam with Muslims.

Islam is an evil, expansionist, supremacist, regressive, totalitarian ideology. Muslims are people who practice Islam. Like feminism and socialism, the greatest victims of Islam are those who practice it. Islam is not the way; Jesus is the way.

Yes, some Muslims are nice people. Last night I bought a pizza from a local store run by Muslims. Capitalism brings people of all religions and creeds and races together. I only care their product is good, value-priced and convenient. They are happy to have me as a customer even if I don't accept their religious tenets.

Just for the record - The Mayor of London has released a message for Easter -to Christians in London and around the world, interestingly he does this every year- so it does raise the question as to why the monarchy as head of the Church of England doesn’t.

I’m reminded of Kennedy’s Profiles in Courage. The king is a coward.

I agree. I love Muslims but I do hate Islam which has them bound...but with God all things are possible. Release for the captives from Islam and for all of us.
