The house symbolizes who you are, your traits, attributes, character, and personality. You carry a profusion of gifts. The children may depict the responsibilities God has already given you to oversee. New believers, nurturing others, ministry, etc. They appear to portray various ministry types God has opened where you are and where you have already been.

The sudden appearance of the tiny puppies, reveal an unexpected intrusion but not enough to be a distraction.
The children get settled after going to the laundry. (a place where clothes are washed). These black puppies are found in the laundry basket. This gives me the impression that something is being hidden. Something that will be revealed. The puppies have something to do with the children in your care. (even those who are hiding but still in your care).

Something you choose to take on because it is part of the whole ministry God has given you to do. Taking good care of little ones till they are able to stand on their own.

I'm curious. Why do you say that?

I'm also curious as to why the first impulse is to put the "puppies" outside.

The puppies gave me a sense that they are symbolic of unresolved issues in the lives of those I have been given responsibility over. My first impulse was to remove them, but then they were brought back in and on top of the laundry that needed doing. Based on the dream, I am thinking that it would take more than just removing them; it may take counseling and deliverance. So it's long-term, not a quick fix.

I picked them up and was about to put them outside again when I had the impression that they needed to be taken care of because they were only little and could not survive on their own or survive without their mother.
I'm sorry; the way I read your concern for the puppies' survival , THEY represent the ones you'd just been given responsibility for. (Since we recently adopted Cerberus, I naturally relate to caring for a new puppy.) And coming from a Methodist background, washing the dirty "laundry" (i.e. living a life of repentance) is something that has to be done continuously, whereas having the puppy exorcised of some evil parasites because said puppy keeps eating twigs, sticks, sweetgum balls, magnolia seedpods, pine cones, pine bark, pine branches, pine mulch, grass, candy wrappers, Sutter's Home plastic wine bottles, cigarette butts, goose poop, and anything else she can stuff in her mouth, is something that should only have to be done one time. (Whew! It's good to get that last sentence off my chest.)
