How to receive the Holy Ghost

Filling with the Holy Spirit is not something you feel. It occurs upon the new birth and is not a fleshly experience.

Good worship and good pastors have nothing to do with it.

It is the Word that makes it happen. You can get it by reading the Bible all by yourself in your room.

If the environment is good you will feel the sensation of being filled with the Holy Ghost
If the environment is not good you will leave empty and in danger of returning to the ways of the flesh

It comes with the laying on of hands, by someone who already has the gift:

Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

1Timothy 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Joy is something to be felt
Peace is something to be felt
Patience is something to be felt
Gentleness is something to be felt

And being around spiritual people makes all of that rub off.

None of those fruit are feelings. They are spiritual, not emotional. Feelings come and go.

Being around emotional people can induce emotions in you. That is not how the Holy Spirit works.

look again at all those fruits . Then know and understand that the dark one
has its own version of every one of those words .
Example . Love . its love does not REJOICE IN THE TRUTH but in inquity , in a lie .
Example . God is love it says as it defends sin and even accepts sin and unbelief and calls that love and loving .
And many sure seem to FEEL this false sensual version and believe it to be of GOD , when it is NOT of GOD
but of the world .
Sure we can experience joy , peace , etc . But so too do the false .
SO the moral to THIS explanation is , BETTER BIBLE UP and test all who do speak .
And thanks again for listing the fruits of the SPIRIT .
NOW allow me to list the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT .
For the FRUIT of the SPIRIT is in all goodness , righteousness and TRUTH .
Proving what is acceptable to G OD . but many heed another spirit
and it aint so BIG at all on TRUTH , and it aint busy proving what is acceptable to GOD but rather
what is acceptable to an ever changing society and world .
WE , my near , my dear , FRIEND are being decieved b ig time in the inclusive ecumenical realm of many anti christs .
And i do suggest all flee such a realm and any associated with it . Warn them , if they hear not Move on .
Bible time my friend . I say this for the good of all and to the benefit of their welfare and well being .
GET THEM OUT of anything connected to the inclusive ecumenical and NOW . LEt us return to the scriptures
and b e in prayer and be exhorting one another daily WITH TRUTH .

for how much MORE shall my heavenly Father give THE SPIRIT to those who ask .
Time to seek the heavenly and That GOD and HIS CHRIST .

and it aint no gospel , it will accept sins , it will call evil good and good evil , it will allow UNBELIEF
and EVEN NOW PREACHES THE LIE OF UNBELEIF , THE LIE that all religoins serve the same God .
Oh they do indeed serve the same god , just not the same GOD as the True christain do .
FOR if they served the same GOD we do , THEN THEY HAD BELEIVED HIS TESTIMONY ON THE SON
and not rejected it for a false religoin . Dont let the love cup of a sensual harlot fool any of us .
HE who recieves the testimony of GOD has set to his seal that GOD IS TRUE

HE who rejectes the TESTIMONY that GOD gave of the son , OH HE CALLS GOD A LIAR . so just keep that always upon
thine heart by THE HOLY GHOST .

When your at church you hug, communicate, laugh, cry. It's different online. They say that people who go to church live longer. I can see why. Technology is great, but it can't replace human contact and fellowship

My cousin gave a sermon on the Holy Spirit a few weeks ago. Helped me realize I should pray to him, too, as well as Jesus and God.
