It's so much better than demonic laughter I can tell you that!

Joy is one of the fruit of the Spirit and it's of the Lord, it flows from Him to those abiding IN HIM.

You're not going to tell us that overflowing Joy from the Lord is sinful are ya?
I'm a believer in Holy Laughter. Grew up in a Pentecostal church. Seen that in the wild.

Honestly, I've never seen anyone question it, outside of those who believe that all gifts have ceased.

Holy laughter is never listed in the Bible as a spiritual gift.

Holy laughter outbursts were not practiced by believers in the book of Acts.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

God is not the author of confusion.

In fact, I am skeptical of ordinary laughter in general. It seems like laughing is a defense mechanism, for relieving tension.
That's kind of sad to me. Clearly that can be the case, but... have you never watched a stupid comedy with friends?

You wanna come over and watch The Naked Gun with me? The old one, not that abominable sequel they made last year...

Comedy films and standup comics are designed to generate appropriate laughter.

But spontaneous, uncontrollable outbursts of laughter in a church service are disruptive and not edifying.

Well those who believe all the gifts have ceased need not concern themselves with the gifts at all as they will not be experiencing any of them.

According to their faith it shall be done unto them.

You've never seen anyone in scripture get extremely overjoyed with the Lord and express their joy?

Not even once?

God is not the author of confusion.

Joy of the Lord is where our strength comes from.

Your comments would explain why you're so weak.

In my experience, the laughter was neither spontaneous nor disruptive.

One may understand a thing by reading about it. One might know something by experiencing it. The man who understands will have a hard time convincing the one who knows.
