Home now. John has 8 stitches above his left eye and some ugly bruises. His eyes are still a little puffy but not too bad. He's in great spirits and very grateful for the help and the kind gestures of people who don't even know him.

He is back to work, slowly climbing out of a pit. He has trouble keeping his phone and water paid. The cost of the accident has put him back bc he has to pay for the car he's driving now. But he's okay ...other than struggling with discouragement. Keep praying.

His truck is totaled, and he wasn't allowed to get his personal items (tools, paperwork, work hats, and his deceased mother's hat).
There was no insurance payment for it. He said he blacked out upon impact, but he probably was at fault. It was early morning before sunrise and he didn't see anyone coming and pulled out ...then he blacked out. But regardless of the details, there wasn't an insurance payment and all he got was a ticket for no seatbelt. He is buying a car from his uncle. His uncle had a broken down car ...he repaired it and John is driving it. He has to pay his uncle back for the car and the repairs.

Ok. thanks. Not sure how it works but maybe release the funds so he can pay for his phone and water?
It wasn't up to me to release the funds. The site wouldn't release the funds until a specific time after the first donation ...a week, I think. He said he was able to get funds for gas and food yesterday.
