One of the claims of man's false Amillennial doctrine is that on the "day of the Lord" when Lord Jesus returns, all the wicked are then destroyed in the "lake of fire" and we immediately go into God's new heavens and a new earth time.

That means for that claim to be true, then there cannot... be any Bible Scripture existing that shows the wicked and/or unsaved still exist after Christ's return.

This is one of the major Scripture example Amillennialists hate, and is likely one of the strongest reasons they don't like what that Zechariah 14 Chapter teaches...

Zech 14:16-17
16 And it shall come to pass,
that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
KJV

Certain nations per the Ezekiel 38 Chapter we are shown shall come up against Israel on the last day of this world. The above is pointing to those among them that won't be destroyed. Thus it is very clear that they sided with Satan's host armies that will come upon Israel out of the northern quarters of the earth. The above shows they will still exist after Christ's future return. That means man's doctrine called Amillennialism falls flat on that Scripture evidence,

Isa 24:20-23
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and
the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before His ancients gloriously.
KJV

There should be no doubt as to what timing the above Scripture is for. It is for after Christ's future return, and per Revelation 20:1-4 Satan is locked in his pit prison. Those "kings of the earth" also are to be locked in Satan's pit prison with him at that point in time. After many days refers to the Millennial time period of Revelation 20, the "thousand years" Christ Jesus and His elect are to reign over the wicked and unsaved with the "rod of iron" promised to Jesus, and that He promised to His elect who reign with Him (Ps.2; Rev.2).

Here is another confirmation of those kings of the earth still existing after Christ's return. It involves also their marveling at how Lucifer has become weak in that future time. God begins the prophecy with pointing to the king of Babylon, but after a few verses it becomes clear that He is actually using the king of Babylon as a 'type' for the devil:

Isa 14:5-12
5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked,
and the sceptre of the rulers.
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, "Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us."
9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee,
even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, "Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?"
11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
12
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
KJV

The Revelation 20 Chapter has TWO specific prophecies involving Satan being locked in his pit prison during the time of Christ's "thousand years" reign, and not able to deceive the nations. Then there is later the prophecy of his release after the "thousand years" when he will be allowed to go tempt the unsaved of the nations. This is beyond a doubt Biblical proof that the unsaved will still exist during and after Christ's future "thousand years" reign...

Rev 20:1-3
20 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more,
till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
KJV

The following is about Satan's release from his pit prison after the "thousand years" reign by Christ is completed...

Rev 20:7-10
7
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
KJV

The fact that those nations can still be deceived reveals they are still UNSAVED, and still exist during that "thousand years" reign by Christ Jesus and His elect.

Another pointer to Christ's future "thousand years" Millennial reign that starts at His return is what Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5 for the Church member at Corinth who was having sexual intercourse with his mother...

1 Cor 5:3-5
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh,
that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
KJV

Paul told the members of that Church at Corinth to cast that sinner out from the congregation in hopes that his 'spirit' would be saved "in the day of the Lord Jesus." What then is that "day of the Lord Jesus"? That is a reference to Christ's future "thousand years" reign over the unsaved nations per Revelation 20, as that reign begins on the day of Christ's future return.

I believe that Daniel 7:13-14 tells us plainly that after Christ is given dominion over the earth that all of the people of the earth should serve/worship Him.

Daniel 7:13-14: -
13 "I was watching in the night visions,
And behold, One like the Son of Man,
Coming with the clouds of heaven!
He came to the Ancient of Days,
And they brought Him near before Him.
14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
Which shall not pass away,
And His kingdom the one
Which shall not be destroyed.

This also happens at the time of Armageddon, which Isaiah 24:21-22 also describes.

We need to understand and accept that people will still be able to exercise their free choice as to whether or not they will serve the Lord.

The end of Zechariah 14 does reveal the leftovers who will have come up against Jerusalem on the final day (battle of Armageddon), will come up to Jerusalem from year to year and worship The KING (Jesus Christ) and keep the Feast of Tabernacles. Then it mentions there will be no rain upon the lands of the nations who refuse to come up to Jerusalem and worship in that time. That in itself reveals the unsaved nations will still have the choice to rebel, even after Christ's return.

Davy, Isaiah 24:21-22 will occur in around 19 or so years from now. Daniel 7:11-14 also speaks of the beasts, i.e. the wicked rebelling heavenly hosts, being judged and imprisoned for many days to await the time of their respective punishments in agreement with Isaiah 24:21-22. It should be noted that the Rev 12 bowl judgements occur in the reverse order as if John was being shown these events as if he was walking backwards in time. As for Zechariah 14, I see glimpses in this chapter that can be found in both Isaiah and Daniel, however the time span of this chapter is beyond my comprehension at this present time. Below is my present understanding of this chapter: -

Zechariah 14: - The Day of the Lord
(cf. Ezek 38; 39; Mark 13:1; Rev 20:1-22:21)
14:1 Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then the Lord will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.
5 Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
Yes, you shall flee
As you fled from the turmoil
In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
Thus, the Lord my God will come,
And all the saints with You.
6 It shall come to pass in that day
That there will be no light;
The lights will diminish.
7 It shall be one day
Which is known to the Lord —
Neither day nor night.
But at evening time it shall happen
That it will be light.
8 And in that day, it shall be
That living waters shall flow from Jerusalem,
Half of them toward the eastern sea
And half of them toward the western sea;
In both summer and winter, it shall occur.
9 And the Lord shall be King over all the earth.
In that day it shall be —
"The Lord is one,"
And His name one.
10 All the earth shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin's Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's winepresses.
11 The people shall dwell in it;
And no longer shall there be utter destruction,
But Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the defeat with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:
Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet,
Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets,
And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.
13 It shall come to pass in that day
That a great panic from the Lord will be among them.
Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbour,
And raise his hand against his neighbour’s hand;
14 Judah also will fight at Jerusalem.
And the wealth of all the surrounding nations
Shall be gathered together:
Gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance.
15 Such also shall be the defeat
On the horse and the mule,
On the camel and the donkey,
And on all the cattle that will be in those camps.
So, shall this defeat be.
The Nations Worship the King
16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. 18 If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the method/defeat with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
20 In that day "HOLINESS TO THE LORD" shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lord's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.
