Not a dream

I imagine that a few people have had what some call night terror type dreams, where you cant move and/or your trying to say Jesus and maybe only the Je Je can you get out.... I dont think those are dreams case in point....

So I'm really sleeping on my couch laying on my back (really).... and this happened around 6am or there abouts....

So at the far end of the couch I see this black figure with little yellow eyes that didnt have a neck or arms which resembled the shape of an unsidedown letter u rise slowy up to about a foot and a half taller than the arm of the couch... then it came down the side of the couch bent over looking me right in the face and then cocked its head to the right rather quickly and it was gone... now I could see my hands on my chest during this which I think took less than 15 seconds.... so then Im laying there with my eyes still closed a few mintues later and I think to myself - "well I know Im awake now" so when I open my eyes my hands are in the same position as they were during this event which made me believe it was not a dream....

Certainly was creepy thou.....

I know personally of what you speak and have heard testimonies of many others in my life. A life consisting of both 'before and after' becoming born again believer.

I have been taught and believe, that we are triparte human beings. We are spirit, soul and body. And dreams can come from any one of those three sources. Spiritual dreams from the spiritual realm of either good or evil. Soulish dreams come from what your mind, will, emotions (soul) has been dwelling upon while conscious, whether good or bad 'conscious thoughts'. And lastly, you can have fleshly/bodily dreams.....because you ate too much pizza. lfh

I believe your dream does fit in the "spirit" realm.

@WHO ME I answered your post today after quickly reading it yesterday. But since doing so, I've been having second 'feelings' since that posting. And having just got home and reading it again, I do agree with you it wasn't a dream. I believe that what you experienced is called an open vision. That comes from the book of Acts 2 where it talks about young men having visions and old men dreaming dreams. You don't really fit the under 40 definition of that Greek word for "young men", but your experience sure does fit the definition IMO. It still doesn't sound like it was an open vision from God though. Oh well, maybe someone else will jump in with a teaching or testimony. But I am curious, has anything 'fearful' happened recently to you?

Well while I was Away from a godly life, I never had those... episodes.... because to me why would a devil want to do anything to rock the boat since your away from God, it wasnt until I repented and came back to a life pleasing to God that it occured.,.. ive had a few where you cant move and I had no idea weither dream or what it was... I knew while it was going on It.... couldnt hurt me but I didnt like that I couldnt say Jesus but only Je..... this was the first time I ever saw something..... only because I could see my hands in the exact position before and after did I know it wasnt a dream.... it was only about 4 foot tall..... never been any sound other than me trying to say Jesus.... now most dreams Ive had are more like watching a movie but when your trying to say Jesus during it, it's more like your having input into it from reality.... my interpetation is simple, the devil doesnt like the direction Im heading

A few weeks back I did have another one happen, I think a few mintues at most.

I was in a room like a basement no windows and what I took as devils looked like avg everyday people, I dont remember their mouths moving not sure but they were trying to convice me either Jesus wasnt real or He couldnt help me.. I replied something like "thats not gonna work here you try that on someone else" and they stoped trying it, not because I gave an order or anything but they knew it was a waste of time... then I was saying stuff that Ive said while awake before and one was, "you all hate eachother and you and satan hate eachother" and Id mention the "lake of fire". knowing its a sore issue with devils.... then some fat guy had a needle and my thought was it was to kill me but the thought I had was "only fear God who can kill the body and the soul" it ended when I was going up a tunnel thru I think cardboard and the packing thats in boxes when you buy stuff and that was it.... so I could do what I wanted during it with only maybe what seemed like 10 or so seconds where I couldnt move my jaw right to talk... that only annoyd me really and I said something to the effect you have to do that to shut me up...

What I believe I learned from it... I thought of paul and how I doubt they ever tried to get at him like that cause thru the Holy Spirit he cast them out face to face and made me think that as I get stronger in the Lord giving myself over to His will more and more they became less effective it their attempts...

I would think anyone who has this happen thats as you grow stronger in Gods will for your life the Holy spirit allows less and less on their part but I think its also that you know if your growing stronger in the Lord or not that helps...

I got a, let me just say 'ping' in my spirit, when you said; "thats not gonna work here you try that on someone else". I don't know if you are married or have kids or even someone living in your house. But that's like word cursing someone else and giving them a 'legal' right in your house. I think you should have 'given an order', which you said you didn't. Ideally, an order that was spirit led and scripturally based. As it is the 'fat guy' who wanted to shut you up permanently, but he still got a 10 second lick in his favor, this time. I take spiritual warfare very seriously compared to how I feel you are. Tell me a little about your testimony. Born again? Water baptized? Holy Spirit baptized? Married, divorced? Go somewhere on Sundays or home group.

Paul's thorn in the side came from a messenger of Satan and God never delivered him from it, even though Paul sought God 3 times.

This 'first encounter' thing you shared, doesn't sound like it was a 'fearful' thing like I was asking about. But it has escalated from this first encounter to that second encounter you started this thread with. And it was fearful.

We've had a saying for many years, concern spiritual growth and warfare; That saying was; "New levels new devils." When you grow in the Lord the Satan ups the authority level of his demons to send against you. In the case of Job God allowed Satan to do everything he did.

WHO ME replies: dude.. you do realize I wasnt standing on my feet awake right? Im just telling you how this attack went and what was said ( I was sleeping and it happened during the night after all I wasnt in some basement either but on my couch).... the devils DONT need your approval to attack someone else.... as far as legal right never heard of such a thing in the word.....

WHO ME replies: what the thorn in pauls side have to do with my statement that I bet devils never tried these attacks on paul? Makes no sense

Well I didnt understand what pauls thorn had to do with me saying I doubt paul ever had any of these type of encounters like I did during the night... oh and Im not bothered by them happening at all so nothing to be sorry about but thank you for your concern.. (the black figured did really creep me out for a day or so) Im just relating them to others who may have had them but not talked about them to others....

The ones were I couldnt move happened some years ago while the black figure happened in the last year or so idk... and the basement one was just 2 weeks ago... but Im not bothered by them at all.... after all its 2:15am and in a min Im gonna get up with the lights off and grab a bite of sourdough pancakes out in the kitchen.... if you read the holy laughter one I wrote on here that was like 10 or so years ago idk.... but out of all of them the black figure was the most creep to it... oh I sure hope a devils not watching me type this and gonna do that again.... lol.... really lol

I want to add one more thing.... in daniel a prince of persia holds daniels angel 2 weeks from reaching daniel.... but the Holy Spirit in each believer has no weakness of any sort even if all the devils and satan himself came to your house.... the 2 (devils ans Spirit) dont even compare in the least...

When you have a dream you dont have any input its kinda like a movie.

Now the first one with the black figure had the thing come down the side of the couch and I was really on that couch so I knew because of my hands it really happened in my living room... while I didnt know if it was a dream (at first) I knew while my eyes were still closed that after it just disapeared I was awake.

The 2nd one took place in a basement but I was really on my couch. The first thing where they tried to make me think or was saying (Jesus couldnt help) and I said that not gonna work here...Ive never had happen to me But thats what my belief and my reply Would of been had it really happened... now the part where I said you hate eachother and lake of fire I have said before while being awake standing up in my house..... you know its late at night you get up to go to bathroom and kinda get the creeps a little so you maybe start talking or praising God.... or you say you guys hate eachother or the lake of fire cause you know it gets them in a sore spot...

The first ended when it disapeared but the 2nd ended when I think I just woke up while I was trying to climb out of that room...

Anyway its 2am and I hear something knocking...lol no just kidding

I did read someone who was speaking of night terrors that they seem to happen more often when your sleeping on your back... like my first one.(I had a spike inplanted on my back so that wouldnt happen ever again)

99.9 percent of the time I sleep on my side and most the time on my right side facing the wall
