I read that foreign World Cup soccer fans visiting the United States have stated that they hear the most negative coverage about America on their own domestic European news outlets, rather than on any specific U.S. broadcasting network.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani released a defiant message in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on the federal government’s termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Syrian and Haitian aliens.

In a 6-3 decision released Thursday, the Supreme Court held that the “TPS statute bars judicial review of non-constitutional claims,” meaning the Department of Homeland Security has the right to proceed in terminating the TPS status of Haitians and Syrians.

Mamdani began his address by invoking “empathy and solidarity with Haitian and Syrian New Yorkers.”

A little over 84,000 foreign-born Haitians resided in New York City as of 2023, according to a 2026 report from the city.

Mamdani continued, claiming the Supreme Court made “a decision that is putting so many people’s lives in jeopardy.”

DHS will send illegal Haitians back, honestly dont know what Mamdani can do to stop that.

Every illegal sent back is one less democratic socialist voter is what I think the DSA fears.

I heard a few democrats saying they are going to split off from the socialists and let them have their own party. Then cut off the democrat funding that they used to get on the democratic ticket.

Nate Friedman does interesting interviews, and he gives stats.

Interviewing New Yorkers. Nate says 2/3 rds of young people favor Socialism. But they don't seem to really know what it is. Also, older Muslim lady likes Mamdani because he is Muslim. But she can't say how he has made NYC better. She has been in NYC for 24 years. Guy selling T-shirts likes socialism... doesn't know he's doing Capitalism.

Mamdani admitted he was not sure if he has the power to order the New York Police Department to detain a foreign leader but is discussing the matter with the city's legal team.

"Whatever the law allows me to do in New York City, that's what we will do," he said.

He's a Mayor.

Can a U.S. Mayor Detain a Foreign Leader?

In the United States, a mayor cannot lawfully detain a visiting foreign leader without federal authority. While local police can arrest anyone who violates state or local laws, foreign affairs and the enforcement of international arrest warrants are federal responsibilities.

He needs to go.

Electing Mamdani as Mayor reminds me of the phrase, "fox in the henhouse" which is an idiom describing a situation where someone untrustworthy is put in a position of power or trust, allowing them to exploit the system for their own agenda.

I have a feeling it was a deliberate move by the President to allow him to have that position.
People have to experience what communism really is they can go to NYC.
Sometimes you can't tell them, you have to show them.
I feel bad for the people that got stuck there because they didn't have the means to move.
But it will be their testimonies that wake up the people.
I don't believe Our Government will allow this to manifest bigger than what we are capable of handling.
They will just have to learn the hard way.

Praying for the people held captive in NYC.

Communists want to tear down America, and make people suffer more, then they will blame capitalism and American values when they themselves are lawbreakers or rulebreakers who are changing the system to self destruct it.

"Socialism has not worked anywhere on the globe," Cuomo said. "Promises of free lunch, free buses, free rent, free everything. There is no such thing as ‘free.’ Someone always pays. This is a dream. This is nirvana. This is utopia, and they’re selling to young people who are buying it. But it's not going to work. And this socialist movement is the best thing the Republicans have going for them."

"It is a major problem for the Democrats. And again, I think the energy comes from the anger of Trump, and they've misdirected that anger. But it is a real problem for the Democrats, and as I said before, it's the best thing the Republicans have going for them," he added.

According to the Citizens Budget Commission, New York City lost more residents across all income levels than it gained throughout 2025. The city's population posted a net loss of 114,000 residents.

Cuomo said he increasingly finds himself politically estranged from the modern Democratic Party, which he said has adopted highly disruptive regulatory and economic agendas.

"The Democratic Party is in the middle of the Civil War, right? And you have moderate mainstream Democrats such as myself, which have been challenged by the far-left extremists," the former governor said.

"I'm too moderate for the Democrats, which is ironic, since I had the most progressive record as governor in the United States of America," Cuomo said while noting his anti-discrimination and minimum wage legislation. "It's not about facts. It's not about merits. It's about the politics of the moment, and right now, socialism is cool."

Honestly, I hope the democrats implode over this communism they want and lose many government seats.
If they don't, increasingly this country will divide farther apart.
And what is the end of that?

Hasan Piker is rather dangerous, listen to the things he says.
