Many people are wrongly convicted every year. Some eventually get exonerated.
Even then, they should receive $$$ from government for destroying their lives!
The Law of God is perfect, but very exacting, no one could fully obey it

James 2:10
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

Salvation was always mercy and compassion based, not based on works of the law.

Romans 3

All Have Sinned

9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

10 As it is written:

“There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
12 They have all turned aside;
They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one.”
13 “Their throat is an open [d]tomb;
With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;
“The poison of asps is under their lips”;
14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known.”
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become [e]guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

God’s Righteousness Through Faith

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all [f]and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

24 being justified [g]freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

25 whom God set forth as a [h]propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Then why preach the death penalty?

I've noticed that those who favor life in prison are ignoring the suffering of their victims.
Life in prison is not justice. It is injustice.
The 'man slayer' gets to live out his life in luxury and it is paid by the very society he scorns.
You say prison is not luxury in America?
3 meals a day. Hot showers, reading library, recreation, free entertainment, free lawyer for life, free clothing and laundry service. Shelter from the weather. Medical and dental paid.
Untold MILLIONS on this earth do not get as much.
You say what about the risk of convicting the innocent? By that you are claiming a perfection that is impossible and which God does not expect. Romans 13
And I say, what about the REPEAT VICTIMS of the manslayers? And you simply ignore them.

Nope. It's protecting innocent people from being murdered by CORRUPT government.
Life in prison is not justice. It is injustice.
Executing innocents is justice?

Why aren't you living in luxury?

I get all that and I'm not in prison. I worked for it.

But you can't prove any of that! Don't you want mercy from God? You need to figure out if you're living under the Law or the New Covenant! Can't be both.

God fixes everything in the next life, the guilty wont escape punishment, and the just get justified. But of course all people are guilty and stand condemned unless they believe what God said. Cause if they are not guilty of murder, they are guilty of something else against Him.

This life is temporary and ends one way or another. The answer is fear God, do what He says, do not fear what people do.

He already told us. It's called the New Covenant.

Matthew 5:7
7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.

Executing innocent people deserves Hell Fire!
That is addressed to INDIVIDUALS. It is not addressed to GOVERNMENT.
Romans 13.
You know this. Why do you think you are more righteous than God? He is the same yesterday, today and forever. The same God who spoke in Genesis also speaks today.
Ecclesiastes makes it plain that because justice is delayed wickedness will increase. Failure to execute the manslayers will only cause more evil to prosper.
Maybe you should read ALL of your Bible.

Some people are delusional to think our justice system is perfect.

Others know our justice system is prone to error but don't care about killing innocent people, just like Jesus was killed.

And yet others have only blood thirsty vengeance in their veins.

So you're fine with executing innocent people! I'm not!

John 8:7

7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."

That accusation is as dishonest as if I said YOU are fine with allowing manslayers to be released so they can slay more victims.
But maybe I would not be wrong at all since you seem to be fine with injustice.

You never answered my question.
Do you think you are more righteous than my Savior Jesus Christ?

And you seem to be in the wrong Covenant. Stick with the New Covenant so you don't burn in Hell!

Your "Savior" would not approve of your hypocrisy, choosing which sinners to execute, and without absolute proof. And you're not qualified to cast the first stone!

There you go again pretending to be more righteous than God Himself.

Which has ZERO to do with my comment!

Rev 21 All liars will have their part in the Lake of Fire!
Your avoidance of my question reveals that you do indeed believe you are more righteous than God Himself.

Well then, maybe you know what to do, huh?
Yeah, be a Christian / merciful, not a murderer!

Matthew 5:7
7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.

James 2:13 Judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy!

Thinking about Cain and noting that "in the beginning it was not so".

Here in my state, 3 men found guilty of murder, have been exonerated in the last 20 years after more evidence came to light.

And almost everyone has heard of Lindy Chamberlain who was convicted of murdering her baby.

I would rather all murderers were kept in prison rather than one innocent person be executed.

A fiend of mine involved in prison ministry, has known men who have murdered eventually come to faith in Jesus Christ
