His parents were Christians, and his parents encouraged him to live a Christian life, but he wasn't interested in God when he was a kid,

he grew up working in the fields as a shepherd and was captured by pagan Irish Celtic warriors when he was 16, his friend and tutor was also captured (who managed to interpret and teach Patrick a little bit of Gaelic),

they were then separated after Patrick was auctioned off as a slave and was sold to Milcho, a pagan Druid priest, he continued working as a shepherd as a slave during the day and other slaves would take his place during the night,

and was told to stick around another boy named "Inar" (don't think the spelling is right) but Patrick and Inar became good friends, and Inar taught Patrick more Gaelic. Inar also tried to teach Patrick about the Druid pagan traditions, but Patrick was not interested,

then came a day of pagan festival, and Patrick as a slave had a job of serving on that day, Inar told him he better not do anything to disrespect the Druid priest, after the feast,

there was then a child the Druid priest was bringing up for a sacrifice and as they were about to kill him Patrick cried out in horror "stop!"

some Celtic warriors then took him away and threw him in a dungeon it was there and then after Patrick learnt to trust in the Lord, after his time in the dungeon he was banished to a faraway place
