Good to see your screen avatar pop up again.......

PS: Good to see the acknowledgement of the sovereignty of God in the forums: hard to see how some ppl can equate the grace of God in the Gospel with the fallen will of the sinner...........Ephesians 2 is indeed very searching......

It is great to see you and the wisdom you bring. I'm currently studying Romans with my wife and family and from the beginning Paul describes the fallen sinners with debased minds. It is interesting that although men are spiritually dead, they physically communicate with those who are spiritually alive in Christ.
@Rudometkin So is your vehicle still doing okay? I see you've reverted to the avatar with the photo of it...

You have just reminded me that the windshield is cracked. All of that cold weather started putting pressure on a chip in the windshield. I am working on getting it replaced. Other than that the Trooper is running great! Thank you for asking.

I just thought the picture fits good on the forum...

    It's a solid looking vehicle, anyway, @Rudometkin ... :)
Hi @Rudometkin An odd thread about God supposedly not being Creator; I thought it was so odd that I didn't even want to reply.
How are you guys doing? :)

A lot to be thankful for.

So you guys might be moving?

We'll see shortly. I plan to bring a computer with me wherever I go, so nothing should change as far as my activity goes on here :)

Speaking of activity, I've been thinking about engaging more in the forums...any particular areas you suggest I inhabit?

@Rudometkin On doctrine; on Psalms; on the believer's hope; on the power of the Word of God: lots of scope for new threads... :)
We had another dumping the other day but the snow level is slowly going down....

Sounds like fun. Do you ever wrap chains around your tires? I know people used to do that up around the Lake Tahoe area for the intense weather conditions when I was a kid.

I've seen it done with chains, I think. Regulations about winter tires seem to differ from place to place, depending on the jurisdiction. Also, in places, it depends where the vehicle is registered - number plate - as to whether they will fine ppl without winter tires.

@Rudometkin Up here we seem finally to be emerging from all the snow....
You and your wife have a great new year, in the goodness of God.

Ty. Here it's been dry and not too cold. I am reminded of the Scriptures in Revelation about Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the first and the last.
Hi @Rudometkin So how is the vehicle running? :) Looks like it would be good in snow. My little car can slide about a bit...

I've driven a lot of manuals; they are easy to get used to, although for some ppl initially it can seem different. Automatics are a dream, though; one can almost be lulled into not paying attention...

Yeah, I wonder what it'll be like if everyone starts traveling in those automatic 'self driving' cars that I've heard about.

People having liberty to sleep in the driver's seat doesn't sound like a good idea to me!

Sometimes if someone stays still when the traffic lights turn green, it leaves other ppl in the intersection in the wrong place..... :) (Happened recently...)

Thank you, you as well have a great Christmas, Farouk!

I have spent alot of my time lately suffering, and consequently having great hope produced in me, if that makes sense, and I'm glad God has me spending my time this way. :)

I pray for you and your family.

I do love the blessing of Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction".
@Rudometkin So how is your vehicle coping with the price of gas?

Great so far. I don't drive it much! I just had the oil changed today, and it drives so much better again. How's your Chevy?

Speaking of gasoline prices, I saw a bumper sticker while driving the other day. It said, "If you voted for Joe Biden, you owe me gas money!"

Haha, apparently it's common knowledge that Joe Biden would raise gas prices?
Hi @Rudometkin ! so how is the vehicle doing? (in your avatar?) :)

@farouk some old 4wd are actually holding their value pretty well in Australia, some stopped losing value at a certain point, especially the old Nissan Patrols, Toyota Hiluxs, Toyota Land cruisers, and there are people willing to pay over $10,000, or even over $15,000 AUD for a car 20 years or older.

@Rudometkin So are vehicles like yours holding their value in your area as well, maybe?
Replied to you this eve. on a couple of threads; I like this site;my experience with some of the threads is that some ppl will be "professional controversialists" and oppose whatever others say, sometimes.

I like this site too. You have welcomed me greatly since I first joined, and I appreciate you for that.

How do you feel about those 'professional controversialists'?

What they say is up to them; but in the end it's what Scripture says that is important.
So is the Isuzu your first vehicle?
