Trying to do the Lord's work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you." --Corrie ten Boom

"We must face the fact that many today are notoriously careless in their living. This attitude finds its way into the church. We have liberty, we have money, we live in comparative luxury. As a result, discipline has disappeared. What would a violin solo sound like if the strings on the musician’s instrument were all hanging loose, not stretched tight, not ‘disciplined?’" A.W. Tozer
"God is looking for broken men who have judged themselves in the light of the cross of Christ. When He wants anything done, He takes up men who have come to the end of themselves, whose confidence is not in themselves, but in God." ~ H.A. Ironside
Lawlessness is not the absence of law, but the absence of the fear of God. It is the failure to acknowledge God as the only supreme Lawgiver and Judge. Pastor De Waay
"I want to help you decide that, by the power of God, you will not be ordinary." "God wants His people to be ablaze with Holy Ghost activity." ~ Smith Wigglesworth
"The world exercises dominion. The Christian serves, and thus he shares the earthly lot of his Lord, who became a servant. … God…has so ordered life that the world exercises dominion by force and Christ and Christians conquer by service." Detrich Bonhoeffer
"I desire to have both heaven and hell ever in my eye, while I stand on this isthmus of life, between two boundless oceans." ~ John Wesley
Free will is not the liberty to do whatever one likes, but the power of doing whatever one sees ought to be done, even in the very face of otherwise overwhelming impulse. There lies freedom, indeed. ~ George MacDonald
If I see aright, the cross of popular evangelicalism is not the cross of the New Testament. It is, rather, a new bright ornament upon the bosom of a self-assured and carnal Christianity. The old cross slew men, the new cross entertains them. The old cross condemned; the new cross amuses. The old cross destroyed confidence in the flesh; the new cross encourages it. ~ A.W. Tozer
I may no longer depend on pleasant impulses to bring me before the Lord. I must rather response to principles I know to be right, whether I feel them to be enjoyable or not. ~ Jim Elliot
“What one generation tolerates, the next generation will embrace.” ~ John Wesley
"Nothing can touch the Word of God. Not all the powers of earth and hell, men and devils combined, can ever move the Word of God. There it stands, in its own moral glory, spite of all the assaults of the enemy, from age to age. ‘For ever, 0 Lord, Thy Word is settled in heaven.’" ~ C.H. Mackintosh
Faith is genrated in the atmosphere of experiencing truth. ~ Bill Johnson
If a man cannot be a Christian in a place where he is, he cannot be a Christian anywhere ~ Henry Ward Beecher
We have already lost our ability to help anyone once we speak in anger against them personally ~ J.C. Watchman
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose. ~ Jim Elliot
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose. ~ Jim Elliot
It seems that I have been predestined to be a Born-Again, Bible Believing, Pre-Mill, Post Trib, Trinitarian, Pentecostal Arminian - so who am I to argue with the Sovereign will of God
The idea of sola Scriptura is that there is only one written source of divine revelation, which can never be placed on a parallel status with confessional statements, creeds, or the traditions of the church. Scripture alone has the authority to bind the conscience precisely because only Scripture is the written revelation of almighty God. ~ R.C. Sproul
"Teaching theology to a heathen will not bring him to faith in Christ. He may learn the evangelical vocabulary and verbally affirm the truth. He may accept the truth and a list of gospel facts. But without a divine miracle, to open his blind eyes and give him a new heart, he will only be a theologically informed pagan, Not A Christian." - John McArthur -
