Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Yes, isn't it obvious? You speak of Christ ruling over his spiritual subjects and so you should. But don't ignore Paul's word that Christ will rule over the nations after he returns, defeating his enemies. The disciples approached Jesus burdened with a series of misconceptions regarding what...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I see no Biblical evidence to support your contention that a soul can be killed. Jesus encourages both the public and his disciples when he remarked, "I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do."

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

You are blending two distinct yet interconnected concepts. God made a profound promise to David, assuring him that his son would not remain in the grave to endure the decay that follows death. This promise held significant implications, as it also meant that Jesus would ultimately take his place...

    Limited atonement !

Good question. Paul teaches us that at the Last Trumpet, those in Christ will be taken up into the air to be with him forever. Since they are forgiven, they don't experience judgment. God has already decided to give them eternal life.

Is the Gift of Salvation nullified by the consequences of refusal?

If I understand your position, I agree with it. Christians need to remember that Salvation is a gift that can be refused but those whom God has sanctified with his spirit will never refuse it or reject it.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

That is an error. Peter's letter is addressed to churches in Asia, whose congregations are comprised of Jacob's descendants living outside the country. Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Of course, why repeat a point that I conceded? Why not look at the Jeremiah passage objectively? The text in bold below has not been fulfilled. Jeremiah 31:33-34 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Some of it has come to pass. I reminded you about 1948, when God brought Israel back to the land to reestablish the nation of Israel. But Israel remains as the dead body surrounded by vultures, waiting for the fulfillment of Ezekiel 37:1-14.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

This isn't true. Jesus said that their houses would be left desolate as a judgment against them (Matthew 23). The promise God made to their houses is a future hope for Israel.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I didn't ignore your post. I simply recognized it as a repeat of the same post from other discussions on the same subject that I already answered and rejected.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I see you haven't studied the passage. Peter addresses his letter to the Jewish diaspora, being the Apostle to the Jews as Paul has said.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Indeed, the New Covenant was established at the moment of the crucifixion, marking a pivotal point in spiritual history. In the writings of Paul, we find that Jesus is depicted as the mediator of this covenant, suggesting that He is actively involved in facilitating the terms of the covenant for...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I agree. But your error is to assume that Paul is talking about a cataclysmic, climatic end to the world. He is not. He is talking about the role of the Messiah, which is to subdue his enemies. The last enemy is death. There are many more enemies to subdue before that.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Of course, Jesus and the Apostles are the mediators of the New Covenant. But a portion of it has yet to come to pass, and a fuller explanation of that portion is found in Ezekiel 36, among other places.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I agree; the main point of Romans 11:1ff is that God has not cast away his people, the Jews. At the same time, however, the point would be moot if a Jew didn't live Jewishly and abandoned everything distinguishable about being Jewish. The Jewish people who maintain their Jewishness while at the...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I understand why you might resort to an emotional appeal. I get that. But a sober look at the passage will reveal that Peter's reference to resurrection supports David's contention that God would not allow his son's body to suffer decay. And because Christ did not suffer decay, being...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Yes, I understand that. There has never been a time when evangelism was deemed unnecessary because they all know him. The prophet conveys a profound and expansive message that goes beyond mere individual salvation. Although it is indeed true that every Jew who embraces Jesus Christ will find...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I get that. But you were giving your understanding of Isaiah chapter 2, which speaks about a time when the mountain of the Lord will become the chief of the mountains. And I showed how this passage contradicts your position that the "last days" is the time between the Advents. This means that...

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Peter is writing to a particular set of congregations populated by the Diaspora. He is talking to the descendants of Jacob who are living abroad.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

I appreciate your post, but I wanted to clarify a crucial point regarding the concept of martyrs. It's important to understand that martyrs, by definition, are individuals who endure suffering or are ultimately killed due to their unwavering beliefs. Therefore, when the passage refers to the...
