    Let's discuss something!

So then by your understanding, space, time, matter and energy are properties within the universe, not of the universe itself? That makes sense as to why you probably believe there is no need for God to be involved in its creation. I wonder though, how does one wrestle with the fact that these...

The Nicene Creed is not Christian

@Zeke25 Where did I say that? I said: I never even mentioned water. What I believe about baptism has nothing to do with water. I think the problem is that you're assuming that all definitions of baptism include the use of water, specifically. Otherwise I don't think that you would call what...

    Let's discuss something!

@Village I'd like to know what you think about the science related to the idea of the universe having some point of beginning of existence. What are your thoughts on that? Do you think that it did have a beginning? or has it always been (eternal)?

The Nicene Creed is not Christian

I just feel that a lot of assumptions are being made by everyone when it's not even known what people do, and do not understand about their own, or their opponents position. I think that it would be more simplistic and beneficial to view people's thoughts as output from a framework, and that it...

    Let's discuss something!

Well, we could always discuss why we disagree on the something rather than nothing belief. That's always a good one to get into as long as everyone is honestly searching for the truth, of course. :)

The Nicene Creed is not Christian

I just want to throw my two cents into the mix, and say that if one is going to be civil in talking out these issues, one must deal with them independently of the others, and without getting emotionally involved. If one cannot make a new post to argue about: the creed(s), or calvanism, I suggest...

    Alternative Browsers

@Hammer That's why there's still so many vulnerabilities out there. Especially when you get into software programming. It's a nightmare I'm learning. If you ever need something written, don't write it in C lol. Write it in a memory-safe/ secure language. We have some computers running Windows...

Dear Church, Here’s Why People Are REALLY Leaving You

mjrheatlh, I dont understand how you can use the Bible like you did here: Then say, "Which version of the truth is true?" Either A: You don't understand how all of the different versions can be true at the same time (which we will explain to you..) or B: None of them are the truth, and you...

In Reference To CyBs Statement of Faith - Christian Forum

I'm surprised you hold the traditional catholic church to be christians, but good job otherwise. I don't like writing statements of faith because they just get longer... and longer..... and .... longer.....

    "Free" Will

@hammerstone I agree about 99%. My only qualm is with: My only problem with it is, I don't think it properly describes free will. It is my opinion that our selfish choices are only contingent on what we want, but I don't feel that the dependency on others prevents you from making a free willed...

    "Free" Will

@Whitestone I'll bow out of this conversation with Matthew 7:5. I tried attempting that before I was

    "Free" Will

@Whitestone You're pouring an awful lot of judgement into your coffee. You might want to cut back a little bit before you start making a fool out of yourself. You may not see this as an important topic, but your ignorance of it doesn't make it any less important.

    "Free" Will

It should be since that means that your God isn't loving everyone as He claims to. He puts some in hell on purpose? how is that loving? @thread: This topic as a whole really isn't that complicated if you approach it correctly. The question hinges on a simpler one: "Can God make you sin? or do...

    Female Pastors

@Wormwood, I don't know why I didn't see this sooner: So now we really know what mjrhealth think about the authority and inspiration of scripture. Since its source in (his/her) eyes is not from God, I'm surprised (he/she) is a Christian at all. Especially since they can no longer use anything...

    Female Pastors

Honestly mjrhealth, that is a very dangerous way to look at the Bible. Additionally, I think that could be why you're being led astray. I don't know what kind of church you attend, but I would consult your pastor on this topic, and then get a second opinion since you don't seem to want to listen...

    Alternative Browsers

Where I work, we need at minimum both IE and chrome because of all the vendor-specific websites that people need access to. Some are still only compatible with ie 8 if you can believe that.. -_-
