    Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?

What exactly is this? I have never quite understood that. I got a little concerned in my other thread because we were discussing if NDE's are real. Then we discussed that some might be and some are not and could be demonic... I know we have to be discerning to find out if something is of God...

    Near-death experiences

Thank you for your responses, both of you. :) I was reminded of the Bible verse that many will come, some in Jesus' name, and deceive many. A lot of NDE's sound like a lot of New Age Mysticism. Acceptance and tolerance of all. Here's another verse: II Timothy 4: 3-4: "For the time will...

    Near-death experiences

So you don't think these experiences are real? You definitely have a good point about how he wasn't supposed to tell certain things. In the book I'm reading, the woman said she knew more while she was there, but couldn't remember the rest after she came back.

    Near-death experiences

What about people of other religions? I just looked it up and read an account where all they were told is to love. I've also read really negative ones where people said they went to hell and were told to change. How can it be so different for some people?

    Missing books in Bible?

That someone died a death three different ways and another person was around for an event, but somewhere else it said they died a hundred ? years earlier. Stuff like that.

    Near-death experiences

I am reading a book where the woman died, woke up in heaven, and then was resuscitated by the doctors. Does anyone believe that these accounts are accurate? Is it sinful to read these books? There are several I would like to read, but I don't want to read anything I shouldn't be reading. This...

    Missing books in Bible?

What about the Messianic Jews? Wouldn't they be the oldest? Did I ask that already? :P I thought they were rejected because of all the historical errors? I agree. I was hoping to get some info, but I'm afraid I've started an argument, and I apologize. I really wish I knew that answer to...

    Christmas

Wow, thank you for all of the information! So, what you are saying is that all the info we have out there today is incorrect? You mentioned a book written 20 years ago... is that all that information is based off of? If you good Christmas paganism, or anything close to that, you will find...

    Christmas

What about Mithras? Do you have any info about that? The problem would be if Christmas is a pagan celebration just covered up with Christian names (some say this is what the Pope did to convert Pagans... let them keep their festivals but put Christian names on them. 29 “When the Lord your God...

    Missing books in Bible?

I just read on a website that they are full of errors and that is why they are not included today. Maybe that's why you didn't find them interesting. Wouldn't that be wrong to remove it unless they were not supposed to be there? That's why I started the thread. Before I read they had errors...

    Missing books in Bible?

A Catholic response I got (elsewhere) was that all Christians accepted the 27 NT books and 46 OT books until the early 1500's AD. Then, Martin Luther rejected the 7 books because they supported Catholic teachings that he disagreed with... so he put them in the appendix. Later, the 7 books were...

    Missing books in Bible?

I've always wondered about the differences between what Protestant Christians and Catholics believe. Why does the Catholic Bible have additional books? Did the Roman Catholic Church add these, or did the protestants remove them? Why? How do we know these books aren't really supposed to be there?
