    God's Omniscience

With SO much scripture confirming God's omniscience, and NONE saying that something happened that He didn't know was going to happen, I just can't understand how anybody who believes in God can say that He's not aware of EVERYTHING that will happen at any given time to EVERYONE.

    God's Omniscience

From that response, you obviously do not believe that God knows ALL. Thank you for responding to this post. Have a great day, and God bless.

    God's Omniscience

    You didn't answer my questions.

    God's Omniscience

I believe He created us to worship, praise, and glorify Him. And I also believe He knew from the very beginning who was going to do this, and who wasn't.

    God's Omniscience

So you don't believe God had a plan from the very beginning? You think He just made it up as He went? When something happened He didn't know about, He changed His plan?

    God's Omniscience

You do not believe that God knew Lucifer was going to rebel? You don't believe that it was all part of his plan? Do you think God knew Eve was going to eat the fruit?

    God's Omniscience

Did God know beforehand that this was going to happen?

    God's Omniscience

With all due respect, I have no idea what your saying.

    God's Omniscience

    Okay. And your reason being?

    God's Omniscience

Yes i have, and his view is still the same. He doesn't believe that God, being good, would knowingly allow "certain" evils to happen, such as I've mentioned before, the stoning of Stephen, Lucifer's rebellion, and others. I argued that there is NO WAY God Almighty does not know everything...

    God's Omniscience

I believe, without a doubt, that God knew all this was going to happen. I'm wondering if He's telling me to find another church, or using me to try to convince the pastor and the others that they're wrong.

    God's Omniscience

In looking up the origin of "omniscient" I found on Merriam-Websters website its first known use was in 1604. It states it comes from the Medieval Latin "omniscientia". Good question, I will be looking into it a little further. I'm still having the problem of some in our bible study not...

    Happy New Year!

Yes, I would be very interested in a Bible study forum

    God's Omniscience

I never would have thought I'd be having a disagreement on this particular issue with my PASTOR.

    God's Omniscience

Our bible study continued tonight where we left off last week, and I presented my same arguments. A lot was said, but again, I was the only one who maintains that God knows everything that is going to happen. A big argument from them was that God, though He may allow evil, does not create...

    God's Omniscience

I agree, it is a compelling argument, but my belief is that God KNEW this was going to happen, or anything else for that matter. God knows beforehand. Like I mentioned before, another instance where some in my bible study said that God didn't know a certain thing was going to happen is when...

    God's Omniscience

    God's Omniscience

I read Acts 7 again, and it does say in verse 59 "And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit". So they were in the process of stoning Stephen when he fell asleep (died), correct? It doesn't appear that he died of natural causes, unless God took him...

    God's Omniscience

Many thanks to you Bigape for responding, and also for pointing out Acts 7:60 where it states "...he fell asleep". Another one of the MANY things I love about the bible, is no matter how many times read it, I very often find little things that I seem to pass right over, that put a whole...
