Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

Who are you to determine what is legitimate and illegitimate? Are you God? Liberals think it’s legitimate to defer to Dr. Fauci, you don’t. Whose right? You? Personal experience is an unfounded manner of the existence of God. Personal experiences differ from person to person. Just because a...

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

I don’t claim superiority, I think both atheists and religionists are clowns. And epistemology isn’t infallible, so why are you treating it as such? Epistemology is nothing but the theory of knowledge, right? So in other words, your source is merely a theory?

You can’t have any of those without its opposite though. Good needs evil for there to be good. There’s also a bit of evil in every good, and a bit of good in every evil. God is not all good since he created Lucifer. Who cares if Lucifer took it upon himself to be evil? God knew he would already...

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

Are you instincts correct 100% of the time? If not, why think that your instinct of there being a God must be 100% right?

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

What makes a fundamentalist think that their interpretation of the Bible is the one and true interpretation? Are they not acting as if they are God themselves when they assume that their interpretation must be infallible? I’ve never once heard a fundamentalist say that they could be reading the...

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

I don’t deny that there is a god. I can’t deny something that lacks evidence, does that make sense? It’s not that God doesn’t exist, it’s the evidence is lacking. I actually don’t believe anything can be proven so I have my gripes with science as well for that matter when people try to treat it...

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

That’s not the esoteric question you think it is. Many atheists are able to answer that question easily with all kinds of things ranging from science, to reason, to rebuking religious dogma, family, kids, etc. If you’re going to sit here and shun an atheist for responding with something like “my...

I didn’t know you had a favorite myth. Which god is the living god? Every believer’s god in every religion is living and true. Which god should be my favorite god? Help me better understand your delusion.

You don’t know any of these deities, therefore your statement is a very unwise statement about my statement. Flawless logic there, Wrangler. https://pagan.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Deities

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

If you ask many religious people why they believe what they believe, they will tell you that it gives them a sense of purpose and certainty. Wouldn’t you agree?

I didn’t say I fear the unknown. I said religion is a coping mechanism to deal with the fear of the unknown. Maybe if people stopped running away from their fear of the unknown, they would no longer be afraid of it. I am much more afraid of the known than the unknown.
