    Heresy and Mortal Sin

If someone believes in Jesus and obeys his commandments, do you believe that they are saved? You're absolutely right about being "born again" as Jesus obviously said as much but, for many, it is unclear to them what it means to be born again.

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

No, I've been causing trouble for YEARS!

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

In my experience, most of your older, hardcore, Christians are cemented to their theology and don't actually understand enough about the Bible or the doctrines taught in the Bible to be able to make a strong, biblical, argument. They are unmovable in the doctrines that they were taught and any...

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

It saddens me to say that most people are disinterested in God. We must be thankful that God allowed us to know the truth. We (you and I) should also avoid divisive bickering. :)

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

Most English translations DO have contradictions due to erroneous translations, particularly, the King James Version.

    Heresy and Mortal Sin

Welcome to the forum. You'll get a plethora of opinions and doctrines. Thankfully, one only needs to believe in and obey Jesus to be saved. One doesn't have to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all of the various bibles.

    Heresy and Mortal Sin

    Mistranslations are a HUGE problem.

    Heresy and Mortal Sin

Put 100 Christians together and you'll get 100 different theologies. We know that one must know and obey Jesus to be saved. Beyond that, it doesn't matter.

    What is Apostolic Tradition?

Catholics (I was one for 50 years, prior to picking up a Bible) should chew on this and think carefully. Galatians 1:8-12 NKJV But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say...

    What is Apostolic Tradition?

The Catholic Church essentially believes that Jesus and the apostles failed to give humanity all of the information necessary for salvation. They used to teach that salvation could only be achieved by being a member of their organization, in contradiction to what Jesus told us. Paul told us...

    What is Apostolic Tradition?

From the website Catholic Answers. https://www.catholic.com/tract/apostolic-tradition "Is Scripture the sole rule of faith for Christians? Not according to the Bible. While we must guard against merely human tradition, the Bible contains numerous references to the necessity of clinging to...

Invitation to lovingly discuss Christian Universal Salvation, one verse at a time

God permits Satan to mislead and deceive people, which Satan has done to most. The folks here that are quick to condemn others as being used by Satan are themselves deceived by him. They spread the demonic lie that Jesus is a never-forgiving, vindictive, merciless, sadistic, monster. No amount...

Invitation to lovingly discuss Christian Universal Salvation, one verse at a time

I liked your comment but I don't know about the wheat and tares part. Our brothers and sisters are saved from damnation through their faith in Christ. Maybe I misunderstood your point.

Invitation to lovingly discuss Christian Universal Salvation, one verse at a time

Satan and his minions have blinded the majority of Christians into believing that Jesus is a sadistic monster.

Invitation to lovingly discuss Christian Universal Salvation, one verse at a time

Ok so you think Jesus tortures people FOREVER.
  16. Patrick1966

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

Yes. The correct theology is thar Jesus tortures people FOREVER!

Invitation to lovingly discuss Christian Universal Salvation, one verse at a time

That is a made-up theology and is false doctrine, unless you can back it up with scripture. I recall it saying that people were "thrown" into the LOF.

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

It's mainstream Christianity that elevates Satan above Jesus by deeming that the "Gates of Hell" WILL prevail and that Jesus will not only be incapable of bringing all to him, but that he will then torture them FOREVER. That is their warped theology, not mine.
  19. Patrick1966

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

Yes, it's a ridiculous and unbiblical theology.
