First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Still holding a personal grudge I see. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And he went into the...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

True. True, which only begins when we confess Him with out mouth. That is God's and our beginning work of God's and our salvation. Good Scripture.

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

The favorite tactic of faith aloners, is to lie about faith with works, and being justified by works of faith. They falsely accuse James of saying that we are to have faith in and trust in our works to save and justify us. That is the great lie often repeated. Being justified by our works...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Two things prove faith alone is no enough to save any man: 1. We cannot be justified by faith only, but by works of faith. And, we cannot be saved without being justified by Christ. 2. We cannot be saved before confessing the Lord Jesus, which is the first work of spoken faith of God.

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Dead faith alone is only alive to them, that trust in their own faith alone. That imaginary life only lasts as long as their imagination in this life. Afterward, the bubble is thoroughly popped. Faith alone is a bubble of empty air, that gives not so much as a sigh, when popped beyond repair. :)

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

The word sown in our heart by hearing the word, is the work of God. Our work do no work, until we resist the devil and do the word, which begins with confessing the Lord Jesus. It's no work for us to hear the Word, unless we must strain to hear it, because we are too far from the speaker.

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

God's words are work of God. But close enough. Words are work. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. God says spoken words are work. I was actually hoping you would continue in the honest spirit of...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Whatever. I don't mind writing on whited walls, because it's good practice in rightly dividing the word of truth. Faith without works is dead, and works without faith is vain.

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Whatever. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Word spoken are the first...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

The context is of the law of Moses and works done without faith of God unto righteousness. God uses Paul to rebuke Jews pursuing their own righteousness by works of their own making, without faith in the God of Israel, even as he did all his life as Saul of Tarsus. But Israel, which followed...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Yes. Hearing the word only is not a work of faith, but hearing only. The word is sown in the heart of all who hear the gospel preached, but only those doing the word confessing the Lord Jesus, shall be saved. Faith and knowledge only is nothing without doing it. Gnosticism is not only false...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

The faith of God is: it is both the substance and the evidence of things not seen. Faith alone without works is not the faith of God that saves. There is no substance to faith, without evidence of faith. Believeth unto righteousness is the faith of Jesus. Your believing only is your own dead...

    Renewable Salvation

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. We have no part in forgiving ourselves from past sins, which only the Advate Jesus can do. God then gives us part in saving ourselves, by doing His word. He does not save us without our...

    Renewable Salvation

Whatever is in response to failed arguments turning into petty accusations. It means your personal opinion about others is meaningless and worthless. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

It's work to God, not to you. And saves us only when we confess the Lord Jesus. Words are works we are judged by. And saves us when we first follow His command and confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus. Salvation is not imparted but obtained, after we confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus...

    The Lord needs visitors

I've applied for a prison pass with anyone that can preach to them. I just tag along so to speak, but anything can happen. For with God nothing shall be impossible.

    The Lord needs visitors

All it takes is a simple hello, are you doing OK. If they need medical assistance, just pass it on to the nearest nurse, and move on. One thing is for sure, the very light around becomes 7 times brighter and promising.

    The Lord needs visitors

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. The Lord laid this on my heart about a week ago, that He is looking for visitors...

    Renewable Salvation

Not a bit. I don't argue with people, but only doctrine. It's nothing personal to me. I'm still not interested in trusting in your faith alone, to remain uncondemned while doing unrighteousness. I understand it perfectly. I just still reject it as false doctrine and gospel. Thanks anyway.

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Taking in knowledge is hearing only, which is not work, until confessing the Lord Jesus. Faith and knowledge alone saves no man.
