"God won't violate your free will" they said.

They obviously never heard the story of Jonah.

God says that God gets what God wants, so why do you claim God is wrong?

Isaiah 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,' Isaiah 55:11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which...

How should Christians tell people that their gay loved one's lifestyle is displeasing to God?

My advice? Don't! They'll hate you for it. Besides, would you tell someone that their loved one's frequent drunkenness is displeasing to God? I know a number of super-nice Christian people whose grown children are gay. They rationalize that it's "ok". I think it's a mistake to tell them...

Why do you believe that, after death, it's too late for Jesus to save people?

What is the Biblical basis of that doctrine, please?

"if you say, ‘You fool,’ you will be liable to the hell[d] of fire"

Do you believe Jesus's statement? And do you believe that those sent to "the hell[d] of fire" remain there FOREVER? Matthew 5:22 22 But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister,[a] you will be liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister,[c] you will be liable...

Jesus to John: "Here is your mother"

John 19:27 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home. My take on this is that Jesus wanted his mother to help the apostles and for the apostles to look after his mother. Is...

Do non-Christians go to Hell after death?

Let's use an average Muslim woman from Indonesia as an example. She was raised to believe Islam and that all other belief systems are lies. She leads an unremarkable life and doesn't engage in criminal activities and is a loving daughter, wife, and mother. When she dies, will she go to Hell?

If all that one knows, believes, & follows is the "Great Commandment", will they go to Heaven?

Or do they need something else to be saved from Hell? Matthew 22:34-40 34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he...

I want to participate in a local church. What is your advice, please?

I wany to participate because I want to encourage others to grow in Christ. I am much less concerned with the pastor's doctrines, barring something extreme.

Why do you avoid doctrinal discussion?

Is it because such discussions always end in never-ending, bitter, arguments? It seems difficult to produce good fruit for God while perpetually engaging in such endeavors.

Were Jesus's brothers born of another woman?

I haven't seen any biblical support for that belief. Have you?

Do you ever feel lonely among your own family/friends who are lukewarm Christians?

Most of my family and friends claim to be Christian. However, none of them are interested in discussing it, attending church, or in spreading the word. I sometimes feel as if I have nothing in common with them anymore. Can any of you relate to this?

I believe you'll feel better after thanking God

I try to thank God daily. For what do I thank him? Bringing me into existence. Allowing me to believe in and follow his son. His word through the scriptures, which are filled with truth and wisdom and which bring me great comfort and peace. My amazing parents who have...

Bible stories that aren’t actually in the Bible - share yours.

Here is one example to get us started. It's about the story of Noah. I've seen various accounts portraying people mocking Noah for building the ark. However, I don't see anything in Genesis to confirm those portrayals. It's possible that Noah was teased but it's not a Biblical fact, unless I...

How should we celebrate the birth of Jesus?

I love Christmas but I also recognize that it is largely celebrated in a "worldly" way. Even most Christians entirely ignore or give little regard to the birth of Jesus when celebrating "Christmas" and I've been one of them. Should we celebrate it all? If so, how please? Thanks in advance.

Do you think that people in Heaven miss their loved ones still on Earth?

I have no idea. What do you think?
  17. NotTheRock

Dear God, can you please send Jesus back to Earth NOW?

This world is filthy and needs replaced. Thank you Father! Your humble follower.

Once upon a time God thought of YOU!

God thought of you and created you because he wants YOU to be in his kingdom! Although your life may seem boring or unimportant at times, you are being prepared for life in his kingdom and he has BIG plans for you! So NEVER think that you don't matter because you do, after all, God thought of...

What will we do in God's Kingdom?

I think we will become creators along with our Father. Maybe we too will visit a world and be sacrificed like Jesus. I think God has BIG plans for us!
