    The Prodigal son, amazing wisdom of Jesus in that story. The older brother was very jealous of all the attention the younger got when he repented. His heart was not right towards his brother. Instead he should have been filled with joy for his brothers repentance, return to God.

    Let's read it together again, Matthew 21:30, - and he came to the second and said likewise, And the second son answered and said, I go Sir, and went not The second son first said I will go work but then did not go. Did he change his mind?

    I agree, that can be worldly sorrow. Biblical obedience is when the first son went and worked by obeying his fathers commandments. By his actions we know the first son had godly sorrow.

    Before you tell others they are wrong. You need to first learn the Bible verses that are under discussion. You don't think Jesus is teaching on repentance in Matthew 21? Are you serious? What is repentance by your reasoning. Where did you learn this interpretation from? Please link a church...

    Because they were in the same boat as the second son. They also did not obey Gods commandments. They gave the correct answer and Jesus was showing them they knew they were gulity condemning themselves. Jesus got them to condemn themselves by giving the correct answer.

    Hyper grace detest calvinism, at least the ones I'm familiar with. Are you serious ? The second son that said he would obey his fathers commandment to go work but chose to not obey his fathers commandment is the son who Biblically repented? Really?

    The one who did not go and work in the vineyard as his father commanded obeyed his father is your belief. Are you serious Sir? But the first who repented by obeying and going to work in his fathers vineyard did not obey. Are you serious Sir?

    So the first that went and worked in his fathers vineyard as he was commanded did not repent. The second who did not obey his father but rather chose to not obey his fathers commandment did repent. Sir, are you serious?
