That verse you suggested was very specifically addressing only one man, in one singular situation, in the context of a conversation with that man, telling just him what he, alone, needed to do in order to achieve a stated desired goal. Why would I use it? As far as "speaking to the 11" goes...

Again, I reiterate.… the passage says nothing about "public interpretation of scripture." It is saying the prophet did not invent the "prophesy" he foretold, himself, rather, he was told what to repeat to the people.

Why did you change the word, "scripture", for the originally written word, "prophesy"?

It sounds like you all are making the same old Legalistic, Fundamentalistic argument that there is only one way to interpret every verse in the Bible.... "YOUR" way.

The only sad part of all this is that nothing is ever going to come of ANYTHING they uncover. We have let ourselves become the victims of today's version of the corrupt "Senate" of Ancient Rome. The entrenched Career Politicians of BOTH parties will protect their swampy Viper's Nests at all costs.
