If Neanderthals existed and if Adam and Eve were the first humans, then Neanderthals came from Adam and Eve and/or their offspring. That seems extraordinarily unlikely.

I think you may be correct. Perhaps Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 were thrown together? With that said, I think we can glean that it's a general story and not exactly a modern legal document, Lol. I can go with the flow while also recognizing that Genesis is NOT perfect.

We're told he went into Hell. I don't see why he wouldn't have gone into Heaven, at least in his spiritual body. Besides, Jesus said that believers never die. I don't think that statement came with an asterisk along with a disclaimer that believers would actually be in some sort of suspended...

Apparently only those who follow Jesus enter Heaven. So, yes, it is only for those who follow Christ. But, of course, before the culmination of the ages, ALL will be following Christ and so ALL who were previously Jews, atheists, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, etc., will ALL be in Heaven!
